Summary
The Hirose River flows into the Natori flows into Sendai Bay.
Eventually, it will reach the ocean.
At what point does that water forget where it came from? When does it forget that it was birthed from Miyagi’s soil, etched itself into the bedrock of Miyagi? When the Pacific Ocean bumps into the Americas, does any part of it remember that it used to be the Hirose River, that two boys named Oikawa Tooru and Iwaizumi Hajime spent their childhoods alongside it?
It has always been like this: Oikawa Tooru is a river, and Iwaizumi Hajime is a rock.
