KNOCK KNOCK
Who in the Tartarus was knocking on the door at 4 in the morning. Will thought as he sat up in his bed and made his way to the door.
Will was 21 now, he was going to college to become a doctor, he was an intern at the local hospital to observe. He had already had much medical experience with being camp medic at CHB, but obviously they couldn’t know that since they were mortal. Will was much taller; he had grown 4 inches since he was 16 making him 6’5.
Other than that not much had changed about the blonde haired son of Apollo.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
They were more insistent this time making Will sigh. ”I swear if it’s one of those New York junkies again just wanting some free medical help I’m going to get mad.,” Will grumbled under his breath before looking into the peephole to see a boy no taller than 5 '10 covered head to toe in blood.
You’d probably think Will would run from the door screaming bloody murder and called the cops but he didn’t, he opened the door and smiled.,” Nico.,” He nodded, looking him up and down.
“Sorry tesoro, I lost my key on the quest.,” Nico smiled, not bothered whatsoever with the blood covering him like he showered in it.
Will stared at the boy for a few seconds before he spoke again with a sly grin,” Staring cuz you like what you see?,” Nico smiled, making Will lose it.
“Yes! I’m so turned on by the sight of you covered in blood! It looks so good on you! Don’t bother about covering your cuts, who cares about infections! It also really brings out your eyes!,” Will yelled, making Nico grab his mouth and laugh.
“William!,” Nico whispered,” Quiet! The walls of this apartment building are thin!”
Will just rolled his eyes at his boyfriend that was doubled over laughing before scooping him into his arms bridal style.
“What’s this for?,” Nico giggled, wrapping his arms around his neck, with his usual mischievous glint in his oxen eyes.
“Just practicing for when we’re married!,” Will smiled as he turned them around and kicked the door shut behind them.
“Really?”
“Obviously!”
Nico kept laughing as Will carried him to their bathroom and sat him on the counter. Nico felt his lower back gently pressed against the soap dispenser as Will pulled off his shirt with a groan.
“None of your clothes will be able to be saved if they’re as stained as your shirt.,” He ogled scrunching up his face before meeting his blue eyes to Nicos.,” Your going to strip and toss all your clothes into the trash, understand?”
“Pervert.”
“I wasn’t done Nico,” Will rolled his eyes at his significant other.
“I know I just like calling you a pervert”
“Ugh, I’ll step out while you get undressed, I’ll grab you some clothes from your closet, you’re going to shower- and wash your hair and body, GOOD- and when you’re done I’ll be in our room with the first aid kit to clean up your wounds and disinfect.,” Will explained looking at Nico for a nod or something to say he was ok with that.
“I guess!,” Nico shrugged looking at Will with a smile.,” Can I have a kiss first though?”
Will looked at his boyfriend for a few seconds before sighing and leaning forward and letting Nico take his face into his hands, pull him in and connect their lips.
Will loved this, the first kiss after one of Nicos long missions or quests, it always felt amazing to Will to kiss his boyfriend again. He loved how soft Nicos lips felt on his, the soft sigh he would let as he turned his head slightly, when he smiled into the kiss. Will could kiss him for however long he wanted afterwards and no one could say anything, not Percy, not Annabeth, not Jason, not Leo, not Piper, not even Chiron. No one could and Will loved it.
Nico pulled away his lips too soon making Will pout while glaring at Nico slightly. Nico laughed at Will's face but Will didn’t care. He loved Nicos laugh, it made him all fuzzy and happy inside. Will smiled at Nico and gave him a quick kiss on the nose before walking out of the bathroom.,” Take as long a shower as you want sunshine!”
“Thank you dear, but I think I'm just going to do my quick 8 minutes stretched to 10 just so I wash my hair and arms like you said.,” Nico smiled as he slid off the counter and started unbuttoning his black ripped jeans that were caked in red blood.
“Ok whatever you want Neeks!,” Will giggled, blowing him a kiss before shutting the door.
Nico smiled like a goofball as he put his hand out to catch the kiss.
Nico hadn’t realized how much he missed a shower till he was in, the warm water trickled down his head and washed all of the blood out of his black hair and drained it down to his shoulder and back. Nico just stood in there for a while taking in the heat and breathing in the heat of the water. As he did this he had heard someone knocking.
Now he can show up and knock on the door at 4am because he helped his broke boyfriend who was in college get the bills, and just generally lived here. But anyone else knocking at 4am? Not right.
Apparently Will opened the door because he heard the knocking stop and faint conversation in the kitchen.
Nico was intrigued so he turned off the water and grabbed his towel to quickly dry off and put on the clothes Will gave him.
Nico got dressed quickly and started out in the kitchen.
“-should be relatively hot since I finished cooking it then put it away for you guys,” Nico saw who was speaking and it was none other than Leo Valdez.
He was standing in their kitchen with a big thing of his ‘iconic’ chili in a big tupperware container.
“Hey Nico!,” the voice started him making him look further into the Kitchen and see Jason Grace standing in there.
How could Nico forget Jason went everywhere Leo went after they started dating four years ago. They kinda had a separation anxiety kind of thing with each other after Leo and Jason both died and came back to life.
“Hey.,” Nico nodded slightly before walking over to Will and placing his head on his back.
Ok Nico and Will might be the same after their Tartarus visit when Nico was 15.
“I heard you came covered head to toe in blood!,” Leo laughed,” Don’t be embarrassed about it though! Jay came home once covered head to toe in gold inchor!”
Nico looked up from Wills back to look at Jason with wide eyes.
“Yeah it was-,” Jason stopped.,” Not going to say a name but someone’s! Dad, that’s here.”
“Who?”
“Mine.,” Will shrugged, not seeming to care that Jason had practically bathed in his dad's blood.
“Oh”
“Yeah.,” Jason whispered. ,” Anyways me and Leo just wanted to say hi since you're back, and drop off some food since he cooked too much.”
“Yeah I have to get going to start getting ready for my 6am class.,” Leo laughed in a way Nico Will and Jason all knew it was fake.
“You should try getting sleep since you haven’t slept in 4 days.,” Jason whispered in his ear even though Will and Nico could both hear.
“I’m fine thank you though Babe.,” Leo whispered back before turning to them.,” We’ll get going! Enjoy your Chili!”
Will and Nico waved bye before shutting the door behind them.
“Hungry?,” Will asked, smiling at Nico as he lifted the container of Chili.
“Sure!,” Nico laughed as he watched Will open the container and put it into the microwave for 5 minutes.
“Don’t you put something on top so it doesn’t explode?,” Nico asked just as they started to hear it start ‘explode’ in the microwave.
“Oh yeah.,” Will whispered as he opened the microwave.,” Oops.”
When they were done eating Will and Nico just sat there for a few minutes before Nico felt Will's hand tracing over his new wounds.,” I’m going to grab the first aid kit from our room, ok?,” He whispered, as he stood up and leaned in to kiss Nico on the head before leaving.
Nico felt himself smile at his boyfriend while he walked.
He loved when he came home and Will treated him like this.
The first time he went on a quest and came back to Will after they moved in together. Will had grabbed him immediately and had him change into shorts so he could patch up his messed up ribs, they were practically sliced open so you could see bone. Because Nico was too stubborn to go to the hospital. So he let Thalia and Bianca sew the injury’s shut, but only if Reyna wasn’t there because of what she did to his shoulder when he was 14. Will told him they did an ok job then proceeded to do it properly while still holding Nico’s hand.
The memory was calming to Nico even if it was a traumatic quest.
Anytime he got seriously injured at the end of a quest he wouldn’t care because he knew he would go home and his boyfriend would heal him till he was ready to go again.
Nico couldn’t help but smile like a dork thinking about it until Will came back out.
“What are you smiling about, sunshine?,” Will laughed as he sat down in front of Nico. He didn’t get an answer, instead he got a small soft quick kiss on the lips from Nico.,” Ok.,” Will whispered laughing before opening the first aid kit.
Nico sat there in utter silence until Will would ask a question,” What’s the pain rating when I do this? On a scale from 1 to 10?,” He would ask Nico with his smile that could heal anyone or anything.
“4 maybe a 5.,” Nico shrugged as he felt Will's hands go from his lower back to below his shoulders.
“Here?”
“The same.”
“Ok.”
Nico let Will clean him up and press onto spots where he had older injuries that Will swore up and down could easily get injured in battle again.
Nico didn’t argue, he let him do what he felt he needed to do. He was his doctor after all.
Nico and Will sat on the couch with the first aid kit for a while after Will was done until he spoke.,” I love you Nico Di Angelo,” He whispered looking him in the eye.
“I love you too, William Andrew Solace.,” Nico whispered back.
They smiled at each other before leaning in and kissing. Nico smiled as Will held his face and ended up laughing and pulled away.,” I’m sorry! I’m sorry!,” Nico laughed before pressing his forehead to Wills,” I’m just so happy we’re together again.”
“Me too.”
