Title taken from 'Keep the Streets Empty for Me' by Fever RayThe relationship between humans and vampires is tenuous at best, rife with complex political history. Prompto, a lonely human, is desperate for a connection. He plucks up the courage to seek out a vampire to offer up his blood. But some connections are worth more than others. Like love. And sometimes danger lurks around every corner.

Noctis felt his own fist clench. Couldn’t they see? Didn’t they know that Prompto was everything to him? He was worth every risk. He was the closest that Noctis would ever come to the sun.

As they looked around the establishment full of hunters and hunted, all trying to reclaim something or become something that no longer applied to this modern world, Noctis vowed to himself that as soon as he got Prompto back, he would never want for anything ever again.

They had all existed long enough to see times change and tides shift hundreds of times over. Days passed and bled together in an endless cycle, the world going on around them as they stood unchanging. Noctis should have been used to time being meaningless, three days should have felt like a drop in the ocean.
The more he pondered that thought the more he realised what had changed. It was like his life had begun anew when he’d met Prompto, and he’d spent their entire relationship so overly conscious of the toll that time would take. He had finally understood what it had meant to have time be against him. Three days without Prompto felt like an eternity. Noctis had never had anything to miss before. -
