Summary:

“So is there any reason the future biggest nepotism baby of the generation is walking around empty dusty offices?”- he asked him jokingly.

“I'm kinda… grounded”- Peter confessed.

While being grounded for two months Peter meets Deadpool who won't stop visiting him everyday, his presence is a good distraction so Peter lets him stay around. That's the only reason right?

Peter Stark au.

Chapter Text

Peter walked around the tower for the fourth time that day. He went up and down all the floors that weren't currently in use to avoid people as much as possible, playing around and exploring again and again all of the hundred rooms he could get in.

Bored out of his mind, he was only on the third week of being two months grounded yet he was already completely done with being stuck there, unable to go out except for strictly study related stuff, which in the middle of vacation with all his work done was not going to happen.

And yeah maybe this punishment was his own fault but was it really that bad? He had fallen asleep at the top of the highest building he could find to enjoy the breeze and the quiet, he was so tired that day he slept for hours, accidentally missing curfew by a lot, and that alone maybe wasn't enough to be grounded for so long except, in true Peter luck, one of his usual villains and his army had attacked, being far away this had completely escaped him, but not his father.

“Dad, I'm sorry, it wasn't on purpose, I won't do it again…”- Peter pleaded to deaf ears.

“Do you have any idea how worried we all were?! That nutjob destroyed so many buildings and nobody could find you anywhere, you weren't answering calls or messages, you put Karen on silent for god’s sake! we couldn't even track you!.... we thought- we thought something had happened to you Peter, i was worried sick”- Tony looked at him, the last of his sentence changing from mad to mournful, his eyes looked close to tearing up.

Tony took a long shaky breath and spoke again- “You were very careless Peter, we are lucky this time nothing actually happened, still it was a very stupid decision that could have had grave consequences, not to mention the many times we have warned you against hacking your suit”.

“I know… I'm sorry…”- uttered Peter staring at his shoes, too ashamed to look at his father directly.

The older Stark sighed- “You are grounded”- Peter could understand that -”For two months”- now that was just excessive.

“What?!”- he exclaimed but Tony immediately shushed him sternly -”Hush, no arguing mister, you are grounded for two months, no spider-maning, no superhero stuff, and no going out for fun, got it?”- Peter just nodded, he had been punished enough times to tell when his father stood firmly on a punishment and he respected him enough to not push back.

He shut his mouth and went to his room not coming out for dinner that day, not ready to face his father again.

The first week wasn't all that bad, he read books in his room, sneaked some tv with the help of Clint and Bruce plus the other Avengers came to keep him company nearly every day, some more to make fun of him for being grounded than truly keep company nevertheless it was still a form of killing time.

The second week he started to truly feel the boredom, thus he filled his time with the rest of the books he hadn't gone through yet. Given his current state of interval with college he couldn't even study new material to keep busy, the lab was also off limits, though he could probably convince his father to change that and the tv rule by the start of the second month, until then he could only wait.

Now he was on the third week and he was just about to lose his mind, he had already read everything from his personal library, worked out for hours by himself plus with Natasha or Steve and entered every room in the tower at least four times, he clinged to any person that came to see him but everybody was busy at the moment in a mission he wasn't allowed to know anything about, therefore he was mostly alone and would be for the rest of the week and probably the weeks to come, even so Friday would keep a watchful eye on him so he wouldn't break any rule.

He could get out if he tried honestly speaking, it's not like cement walls could keep the amazing spider-man trapped inside for long and he had hacked Friday before but he didn't want to upset his dad anymore, he was just going to have to endure it this time.

Years ago his mother had accidentally become pregnant with him and initially Tony didn't want to take on the responsibility of being a father, too worried that he would be too much like his own, regardless, when Mary passed away at child-birth he decided to step up and do whatever he had to do to give Peter the life he deserved, he sobered up and took care of him.

Truly Peter couldn't have asked for a better dad and this made him want to be the best kid, he was tired of making his father worry about him, he was going to take the penalty with gritted teeth and strive to be better in the future.

So he gave yet another round to the empty tower, humming quietly with light steps, sometimes he would walk on the walls just to have a change.

Suddenly he stilled in his steps when he entered one of the empty offices, something had changed this time, he couldn't see it though his spider sense warned him of it.

It wasn't quite like immediate danger, it felt more like he was being carefully watched, he looked around the room nevertheless everything looked the same as before.

Except for one tiny detail most people wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't stared at every corner of the place that day, the light coat of dust had been cleansed off of the window sill.

It looked like… someone had come in through the window.

The realization made him want to turn around as to warn the rest of the building, he didn't have his mask nor his web shooters on his person right now as his suit was kept under key by Tony somewhere so he couldn't make use of his powers against whoever had broke in yet before he could even take a step towards the door a large body quietly dropped from the ceiling and stopped him from moving.

Peter didn't say a word, a thousand different plans going through his head, should he scream, run, kick him in the balls? The red leather suit confused him, was this person supposed to be a super or a villain? he didn't recognize him, the idea he might have powers as well made him panic even more.

“Who the hell are you?”- asked the mystery man -”You are not dressed like someone who works here and this floor is supposed to be empty anyways”.

He stayed silent unsure of how to respond, the rehearsed lie was that he was an intern however the other had already pointed out he wasn't an employee, he didn't even have a badge on him not to mention his worn out sweater, fluffy socks and working out shorts, he in fact didn't look like he was working there.

“Im- “ he started only to be cut off by the other.

“No way! Shut up!”- the guy exclaimed excitedly, confusing Peter even more who had not said more than a word yet -”You are the Stark kid aren't you?”

Peter started sweating cold now, the situation just kept getting more and more complicated.

The fact that he was Tony Stark’s only child was something they tried to keep mostly underwraps, at least from the media until he finished college so he wouldn't be harassed by paparazzi or crazy people when trying to merely live his life, his father wanted him to experience being a regular person before he took over the company, well as much as he can be regular with being Spiderman.

Only a select group of people knew his real father, the Avengers, his best friends along with the highest most trusted staff of the company, to the rest of the world he was Peter Parker, an orphan.

“How do you know that?”- he asked him more warily now, his anxiety must have been showing in his face because the guy immediately backed off and gave him some room to breathe.

Now that he could see more than his weirdly broad chest he could recognize more of the outfit he was wearing, it was black and red, he had some kind of swords hanging on his back and carried multiple guns on him.

“Chill man, i’m Deadpool, kind of …like a friend of the Avengers”- he added the last part like he was telling an inside joke to himself -”I just kinda overheard your old dad talking about you one of the times we hung out, but don't worry this lips are sealed”- he promised in a checky tone, putting away a knife he wasn't sure when had been held against him.

“Why didn't Friday warn me that you were here?”- he questioned more now that the guy- Deadpool, seemed to relax, his spider sense had stopped warning him meaning he was no longer a threat.

“I may have accidentally added myself as an officially approved guest of Stark the last time I was here”- this made Peter laugh a bit, now that he no longer felt in danger the whole weirdness of the situation was starting to get him.

“So is there any reason the future biggest nepotism baby of the generation is walking around empty dusty offices?”- he asked him jokingly.

“I'm kinda… grounded”- Peter confessed, he didn't mind answering his question, maybe it was the boredom but he felt like humoring the happy stranger for a bit -”Is there any reason why you are sneaking around here to enter? the Avenger offices are a whole lot of floors up from here”.

“Well, they are not really expecting me here, i'm not in any official business with them right now but i was bored and in the area so i decided to check what they were up to”- Deadpool commented, like it was just another Monday for him to break into the official Avenger/ Stark building for fun.

“Funny, I was actually bored too”- Peter expressed.

“Oh? Should I pull a knight in shining armor and break this beautiful princess out of the tower?”- he joked, somehow wiggling his eyebrows with the mask.

Peter blushed a bit at the mention of his looks -”I can't, I'm still grounded”- he denoted, more disappointed than he expected himself to be at the idea of not leaving with the man.

“Will the iron dragon get too mad if you leave now prince?”- Peter nodded -”Then… how about I keep you some company for now?”

Peter agreed almost immediately, thankful to the gods for finally having someone to hang out with when bored out of his mind like this.
