   Summary

   ***MAJOR SPOILERS FOR TO CATCH A KILLER (MISANTHROPE)! If you have not yet watched the movie & don't want anything spoiled, stop reading now!***

   I couldn't handle the ending of the movie, so I have been forced to write my own wherein Geoffrey does not die but is instead seriously injured after a gunshot wound to the chest. As he recovers alongside his loving husband, Gavin, Geoffrey receives the Medal of Valor, full early pension, and begins finding ways to heal both physically & mentally as he navigates his post-law enforcement life.
