   Summary

   Light had won. The world knows him as Kira and he rules as their god. But he still has questions about what happened at the warehouse and after. Nobody worthwhile has stood up to him in the thirteen years since.

   Middle school student Jayme Adams grew up in a world where Kira was law. Raised by anti-Kira parents, but not fully understanding the sad weight Kira had brought to the world. His mother always told him to keep his head down in public. Don't be the hero, and nothing bad would happen. Don't reveal anyone using a fake name even if he could see the lie across their face.

   But when Jayme's father is arrested on suspicion of conspiracy against Kira, the Shinigami on Earth take a particular interest in him, and in his ability to see a person's name and life span. With that, Kira himself takes interest too.

   Pitted against a furious rival for the title of heir to Kira, Jayme must see through the false past everyone created for the world to believe in, and find the truth in the lies.
