Nandor decided that he had nothing better to do that night, and out of pure boredom, he went into his “massive dowry” to look through the 850 pounds of ancestral treasures that he had somehow managed to smuggle back from his homeland. He sifted through many ancient pieces, some even older than the vampire himself.
After what seemed like hours of examining countless priceless pieces of the most beautiful jewelry most men have ever seen, a stunning pair of golden earrings caught Nandor's eye.
The earrings were made from solid gold. They had two large plates, connected with a short gold chain. Each of the plates had gorgeous engraving on them, as well as a ruby in the middle surrounded with diamonds.
Nandor really wanted to try them on so he went to look for his trusty familiar to help pierce his ears so he could wear the beautiful jewelry. It didn't take him long at all to find him, as he could smell his blood and hear his heartbeat from the other side of the house. How the vampires had been able to resist him for this long is honestly a mystery.
Guillermo was just finishing up dusting the bookshelf in the fancy room when his master came to him with his request. The familiar was nervous, as he had never done this before and was worried that he would mess it up and upset the vampire. Guillermo tried telling him that maybe they should go to a piercing studio and get a professional to do it, but Nandor trusted that he would do just fine.
The ancient vampire sat patiently in a chair as his familiar went and got the supplies they needed. He grabbed a stainless steel sewing needle, hoping it would work just as well as a piercing one, and a marker. He thought about grabbing something to sanitize it with, but quickly remembered that it was impossible for a vampire to get an infection.
Guillermo went back to where Nandor was seated and gave him a nervous smile as the vampire tucked his hair behind his ears to give his familiar better access. He put a dot in the center of Nandor's ear lobe with the marker and carefully lined up the needle with the dot before quickly shoving it through, earning a quiet hiss from the vampire.
A small single drop of blood escaped through the hole and the wound rapidly healed around the needle, thanks to vampiric healing. Guillermo took the needle out and very quickly replaced it with the earring before the hole could close completely. He did the same with the other side, just as quickly.
The old vampire quickly recalled that he could not see himself in the mirror due to vampires being unable to see their reflections. Nandor was upset for a moment until Guillermo proposed a solution. He could take a picture of Nandor.
Nandor posed for the photo, pushing his hair behind his ear once more so the camera could get a nice picture of the earring, as well as himself.
As soon as Guillermo finished taking the photo, Nandor immediately rushed over to see it. He was bouncing and smiling very happily. He was excited to see how he looked with the earrings. In his opinion, Nandor believed he looked even more stunning than usual.
Guillermo looked up at him, blushing and grinning, because he made his master, the one he adores the most, genuinely happy.
