Chapter Text

It started like any other akuma attack.

It was night, and Ladybug and Chat Noir had arrived sleepy-eyed, expecting an easy fight from Mr. Pigeon, only to discover that was not the case.

“Resistance! Shell-ter!”

Chat bounced off the force field.

“Uproar! Voyage!”

Squeaky toys started firing at the heroes through tiny portals while pigeons swarmed them.

“How is he using every Miraculous power Monarch has?” Chat asked.

“I don’t know, the only other akuma who has been able to use more than one was Kikou, and even he only used five.”

If every Akuma from now on had access to the powers of all the Miraculous at his disposal, they were in a lot of trouble.

Monarch laughed.

“Excellent, this prototype of the new Alliance rings is working perfectly, Tomoe.”

Arranging for M. Ramier to “win” the next-gen Alliance had been child's play.

“Why did we not test it on me again?” Tomoe asked through his video phone.

“If we did that, the heroes might get suspicious that I keep using you as my guinea pig.”

Tomoe inclined her head to concede his point.

“There is a fluctuation with the power,” she informed him.

“We’ll have to fix that in the next version.”

Ladybug threw her yo-yo through one of the portals before and around Mr. Pigeon’s arm. Ladybug pulled, yanking his arm through the portal.

“Let me go!”

As the two of them played a tug of war, the yo-yo strings tightened around the Alliance ring, sending a surge of energy into the yo-yo.

Back in Marinette’s room, the symbols on the Miracle Box began to glow.

The Alliance ring began to overload.

“What’s wrong?” Monarch shouted.

“I have no idea,” Tomoe said, “I’ve never heard readings like this.”

Mr. Pigeon became engulfed in multicoloured lights.

“What's happening?” Chat asked.

“I–” Before Ladybug could respond, the lights exploded. They radiated outward, engulfing the whole city.

“Gabriel! We have to abort!”

Monarch gritted his teeth but snapped his fingers.

Mr. Pigeon turned back into M. Ramier.

Ladybug looked at herself. She was glowing pink, and when she looked at Chat, he was glowing black and green.

M. Ramier was also glowing.

“Oh dear, did it happen again? Wait, why am I glowing?”

“We’re not sure,” Ladybug told him, “But it’s fading and doesn’t seem to be hurting us.”

Soon, the glowing lights were gone.

“Let’s get you home,” Chat told M. Ramier.

When Marinette de-transformed, Tikki collapsed into her hands.

“Tikki?! What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know, I’ve never felt this drained before.”

Marinette looked through the various illnesses that Kwamis could get in the Grimoire on her phone, but found nothing that matched the symptoms.

“I guess we’ll just have to keep an eye on it.”

She received a call from Alya.

“Girl, why was I glowing orange?”

“You too?”

“It’s not just me. It happened to everyone in the city. What kind of akuma was it?”

“It was just Mr. Pigeon again.”

“Wait, he has light powers now?”

“No, but there was one weird thing, he could use the powers of the Miraculous… all of them.”

“What?! Is this one of Monarch’s plans?”

“I don’t think so. Mr. Pigeon seemed just as surprised as us. I don’t think Monarch planned for this to happen, whatever this is.”

“Whatever it is, we’ll deal with it, and on to more positive topics. How is the new dress going?”

Marinette smiled. Alya knew how to cheer her up, “Almost done, I just have to get the spots on.”

She transformed, “Oooh! I hate it when I do that.”

Alya smirked.

“Marinette?”

They froze when they heard that voice. This wasn’t possible.

She turned around to see Tikki staring at her from her bed and looked at her red and black spotted hand.

She was Ladybug, but Tikki was still here.

“Am I dreaming?”

“If you are, we’re having the same dream,” Alya told her.”

A crazy, insane idea came to her, “Alya, could you say, let’s pounce?”

Alya’s eyes widened, “No way.”

“Alya.”

“Okay, umm, Let’s Pounce?”

Alya was engulfed in orange light, and when it faded, Rena Rouge stood in her place.

“Oh, oh no.”

Ladybug collapsed. If this happened to everyone in Paris, that meant…

Chloé was cosplaying as Queen Bee, “Ladybug, I will show you who is the better superhero, Pollen, Buzz On!”

Flash.

“That actually worked?!”

Socqueline was working on an art project, “Just need to get these spots on.”

Flash.

“Huh?”

Roger and his partner Doug were closing in on the suspect, “Now, we’re on the hunt–”

Flash.

“What the hell am I wearing?!”

All across Paris, people were discovering what had happened and connected to the flash of light that would become known as the Miracle Bang.

Notes:

This is my 100th story in this fandom, and it is an idea I have had since I started, and I now feel ready to do it.

Also, a warning for Chloé fans. For reasons that will become clear, she's going to be a villain in this story.
