Summary
When a month away from the Feast of Spes, Athena made that fatal mistake, the last thing she expected was to find him willingly picking up the pieces. Not that she was ungrateful, really. But was it any wonder she wasn't excited to go on a Sunday hike with her least favourite uncle? Was it anyone's surprise it turned as bad as it did?
If you asked him, he hadn’t intended to end up as her babysitter. It was supposed to be simple: go in, get her out and go home before her father chased him off to Tartarus. He should have known that if you rang at the door of old friends and former enemies, they were bound to be angry. Especially if you didn't mean to disturb them.
What he couldn't understand was how she struggled so much with a fishing knot.Part 1 of my Defeated Gods AU
