   It is about Steve being brain injured and locked into his body, so unable to communicate, and having to listen to his ex-girlfriend tell the guy she dumped him for (Jon) that he's not worth sticking around to care for. And his bio dad beat him up for being gay, thus landing him with Locked In Syndrome.

   Pretty fucking bleak.
