    Autobot Jazz wants autonomy, and Decepticon Soundwave wants control. In “Shiny” they lost their hope for what they want; here they find hope again, in dark places.

    When Soundwave’s team breaks the Virtual Reality Treaty, hacks the Autobot VR, and makes most Autobots overload so violently they are incapacitated, Jazz is left the acting commander. He can follow the Decepticons’ lead in war to its logical next step in dirty tactics, and escalate the hostilities. Or he can try to play the strategic long game for freedom and compassion.

    Between propaganda, hacks, and virtual realities, things aren’t what they seem.
