Summary
Lucifer finally had another date planned with Chloe. After being worried about their relationship, when she took off for a month, he was going to be able to sit and talk to her. He hoped she would understand. He was looking forward to answering her questions and putting her mind at ease. He made sure everything was perfect, not too fancy for her tastes, not too boring for his. He picked the perfect wine, made a good meal that wasn't too elaborate and thought about what the conversation would be like. That was all he wanted tonight, just to talk to her and answer her questions. Anything else was up to her. His good mood was shattered when Chloe cancelled on him at the last minute.
Now he knew something was truly wrong. Lucifer couldn't believe she'd done this to him. Again. She gave him the same excuse as the other two times, Dan had to work and she needed to be with her daughter. He believed her the first time, questioned it the second, this time he didn't believe her at all. Something told him she was telling a lie. He wanted answers now, real answers, not excuses. So, he went looking to find them.
What he found would change everything about their lives.
