Tommyinnit’s guide on how to live a normal life (and fail miserably)

Summary:

When the villain looked up and saw Tommy he lunged for him. He froze and Phantom's hands wrapped around his neck, squeezing.

Tommy choked and tried to pry the hands off. Black dots were starting to crowd his vision when Phantom finally dropped his hands, and stepped back.

“That was a warning, after you explain I’ll decide whether you live.”

“You’re in the cloudy cafe and lounge”

“Why? And why are there bandages around my stomach?”

Tommy looked at him concerned, ”Are you okay big man? Do you really not remember? That’s okay.” He nodded sympathetically, “The brain can forget traumatic events, I suggest going to a therapist.”

The villain looked annoyed, “I’m not traumatized.”

”Sure buddy. The first step to the 5 stages of grief is denial.”

Or: Tommy has some secrets, but doesn’t everyone? Maybe he can finally confide in someone when he meets… wait villains? This is not what he had in mind.

Or Or: Tommy is a traumatized guy, who just wants out of the spotlight

Chapter Text

A small child was alone.

He was crying.

But there was no one there to hear him.

He was in an empty house.

On an empty street.

His family had left.

They left him alone.

How could they?

They were his parents after all.

Whatever, he was fine.

He stood up and wiped his tears from his face.

Crying would do nothing to help him.

He was on his own now.

He had to stand tall.

Time skip to 2 years later:

The hero  looked disappointed . He was Theseus’s mentor, and friend. So the 9 year old didn't want him to be mad. Theseus quickly tried to explain why he was late to their usual meeting. But it was no use. Dream yelled, his hands flying around. Honestly it was scaring Theseus. He didn't know what to do. Dream stormed out leaving a scared kid in his wake.

The next day, Dream had acted as though the events of last night had not happened. Theseus went to the training room. He saw his teacher in the corner, preparing the training dummies. Dream was as scary and powerful looking as ever, towering over everybody else in the whole hero tower. Theseus went over to him and bowed, it was what Dream had taught him to do. Dream bowed back and they spent the next 9 hours straight training, nonstop. That night Theseus was sore and tired. He had to do what dream said though. He always had to follow his instructions. The next day they trained right when Theseus woke up. They trained until sundown and didn’t take any breaks except for lunch. They didn’t have any breakfast or dinner. When they were finally done Theseus was sitting in the corner breathing hard. He was fucked up and  looked terrible. He was fine though, he had to be. If he wasn't, Dream would be mad. He just had to suck it up. He could handle a little pain right? Right?

Notes:

I know I promised this fic in the middle of last year but I’ve been working on other things okay? And school! And to work on this I have to open my Chromebook and start to write and get distracted, and finish a chapter and not write for a month then the cycle repeats
