Work Text:
Crowley stretched one last time and decided to get up before his alarm went off a second time, risking a rude awakening for Aziraphale, who didn't have to work as early as Crowley. Aziraphale, who actually didn't have a schedule to keep, the florist added mentally, chuckling softly.
He reached the bathroom and couldn't stop himself from gasping.
On the mirror was a small post-it note, on which Aziraphale had written:
I like that your smile is the first thing I see in the morning
Crowley couldn't help but blush. His lover was always so full of surprises, and this sort of thing was very much his style. Which, of course, the florist didn't dislike at all.
He finished getting ready, then returned to the bedroom and sat down next to Aziraphale on the bed, waiting for him to wake.
When his lover opened his eyes, the florist smiled softly and Aziraphale opened his eyes before saying, his voice still sleepy, "Crowley? What are you still doing here? Shouldn't you be at work?"
Crowley pointed to the small post-it note in his hands and replied gently, "I like my lover to start his day satisfied. That's more important than work, so I'm here to give you my smile before I go."
He then smiled broadly before leaning over his lover and kissing him tenderly to say good morning.
When he straightened up, they were both smiling broadly, and Crowley said sheepishly, "I really have to go."
Aziraphale nodded and said softly, "Have a nice day, my love. After such a good morning smile and kiss, I know mine can only be very good."
Crowley laughed lightly and replied, "Mine too, my angel, for the same reasons."
He planted a last soft kiss on his lover's forehead and stood up before leaving the bedroom for good.
A little later, after finishing getting ready for the day, Aziraphale went into the kitchen to prepare his breakfast and his eyes were drawn to a small note stuck to the refrigerator.
He approached it and it was his turn to blush as he read the words scrawled by Crowley's hand:
Every day I fall more in love with you
