Ira never wanted to be reincarnated.
Once or twice, maybe, it could have been a gift, a chance to fix mistakes, to savor life again. But when the god of reincarnation became obsessed, the cycle turned into a nightmare. No escape, no mercy. A prison disguised as fate.
She lost count of her lives long ago. After 20,000, why bother ? Faces change, worlds shift, but in the end, it's always the same. Birth. Life. Death. And then, inevitably, they pull her back, trapping her in a cosmic joke they refuse to end.
She tried everything. Fighting. Surrendering. Running. Even love, hoping it might make it worthwhile. But against eternity, even love fades.
Now, only one purpose remains.
Kill them. Break the cycle.
And when they are gone, when she finally stands free, she’ll climb the highest cliff, feel the wind on her skin, and take that last step.
Not to be reborn. Not to wake again.
