Summary
Ghost likes the fact that he gets a side of Soap all to himself. He likes that he has the power to reel Soap in or set him loose, depending on what he wants. He likes that nobody else gets to see the way Soap falls apart with a hand around his throat and a dick in his ass. He likes how safe Soap makes him feel, how desired, how needed. Ghost likes being someone important to Soap.
And maybe that's what Soap sees in him. Maybe Soap likes the fact that Ghost doesn't talk much to anyone except him when they're alone in bed or pressed shoulder to shoulder in an isolated corner of the room. Maybe Soap isn't put off by Ghost's violence because he knows he can weaponize it. Maybe Ghost makes Soap feel equally important and needed and desired - that's all Simon's wanted to do for the last two years, and it finally fucking clicked that he might be succeeding.
Maybe Ghost isn't as bad at this relationship stuff as he thought.
