The Moments We Live In

To tell this story we must go back over 2 years ago. A time of newfound friends "meeting" online for the first time. When heartstopper Twitter ran rampant and connections were made and discord servers were formed.

I don't remember if Swise and I connected first on Twitter or on Discord but it was around the same time, which coincided with my discovery of AO3 as well. During this time - months after season 1 was released - Swise started a story, told over 69 bite-sized chapters but released in less than 30 days.

I still remember the moments (heh) from that month - the notifications multiple times a day that there was a new tiny hit of dopamine as we watched the love story unfold. When I was given their name for the gift exchange I knew I had to do something around this fic.

My writing turns itself off and on, so I figured why not try something new. So instead or writing I have opted to illustrate a few of those moments. I'm certainly not an artist but I'm not a writer either, and 2 years ago when I thought about writing my first fic, Swise was one of the people in my (metaphorical, actually a phone screen,) ear telling me to do it.

Embarrassingly, I was new to AO3 at the time this was released, and as I went back this time I discovered that I never added a kudos on the original WLIM. Hopefully me adding it 2 years later is not a dead give away as to who drew your name.

I don't re-read things very often, but I was delighted to find that re-reading this all-in-one-go is just as wonderful as two or three drops a day, so if you (reader) haven't read it yet, I suggest you do. The illustrations cover the span of the story, so they may contain spoilers, but I don't believe they would take away any of the magic from the fic should you view them first and then go read it.
