Summary
Nick and Charlie met at St. Sebastian's University as theology students, both investigating their vocation. Nick is set on the priesthood and following the traditional version of Catholicism he grew up with. Charlie is more interested in being the social justice-focused follower of Jesus outlined in the Bible. They do not like each other, and when they are reintroduced at the university and forced to teach a theology seminar on love, vocations, and health, they clash, in more ways than one.

Julio Spring is divorced from Jane, has come out (if not to his children), and was in a casual relationship with Stéphane but had a previous physical relationship with David. He and David reconnected at a bathhouse and negotiate a situationship.
This is NOT canon by any means, and this part of the Tale of Two Fourniers series looks at the Daddy/Boy dynamic prevalent in queer male/male culture and relationships. It’ll explore the challenges and unique and lovely realities of these relationships as well as some of the less hetero-normative aspects of queer culture and history.

Summary
Charlie doesn’t have a thing for French guys. He doesn’t think. It’s just that he tends to fall for the same type of person.
The first time happens when he’s still a kid. His teacher sets up a penpal exchange with a French school, and Charlie gets paired up with a wonderful boy called Nick. Charlie ends up falling in love with him even though they've never met.
The second time happens years later, after Nick and Charlie have lost contact. Charlie is in uni and he desperately needs a French tutor to help him pass. A charming half-French boy called Nick volunteers, and Charlie falls in love again.
Maybe Charlie does have a thing for French guys. Half-French guys called ‘Nick,’ to be specific.
