Work Text:
Tweek was stressed out of his mind, and Craig would be a liar if he said he wasn't a bit worried for the boy.
Sure, Tweek was kind of always a nervous wreck, but his anxiety had seriously been ramping up recently, and his parents unsurprisingly didn't seem too concerned about it.
It was while Craig was over at the blonde's house and the two were playing in his room when it happened.
Tweek had told Craig before about his seizures. How they weren't epileptic but could still be dangerous since he could choke on his own saliva or vomit. How he could usually tell ahead of time when he was going to have one, because he'd get pins and needles in his arms and grow less and less aware of his surroundings.
How one of his biggest triggers was stress.
Honestly, in hindsight, it's kind of surprising it took until this point for Craig to bear witness to one of these episodes. Again, it's not like there was ever a time when Tweek wasn't riddled with anxiety and stress.
Tweek felt the pins and needles in his arms and looked over at his boyfriend, afraid, as things started to become cloudy around him
“Tweek?” Craig asked, a bit concerned. Something about how the blonde was looking at him wasn't right. “Babe, what's going on?”
“S-S-Seizure” was all Tweek could get out before he dropped onto his side, convulsing. Craig swallowed thickly. Just because he knew about this ahead of time didn't necessarily make it easier to watch.
Craig remembered back to the care plan that Tweek had nervously laid out for him, in case he was ever there during a seizure. An outline of when to intervene (he didn't typically need to step in if it was just an absence), how to intervene, and when to call paramedics.
Craig quickly glanced at the clock on the wall to keep track of the time, ensured Tweek was angled so that any drool or vomit would drip out of his mouth rather than suffocate him, then grabbed a pillow to put under his boyfriend's head to prevent any sort of damage or concussions.
Tweek's breathing came out in shuddering, painful gasps as his whole body shook. Craig winced as he saw vomit coming from the boy's mouth, dripping onto the pillow along with all the saliva that had pooled there.
“You're okay” Craig said in as comforting a voice as he could manage, remembering Tweek saying he wished someone would comfort him while he was like that. “It'll end soon, I think. I've got you”
It took a few minutes for Tweek to come back to himself, though thankfully it didn't cross the five-minute mark.
The boy wasn't exactly back to normal, though. No, the only reason Craig even knew it was over was because the convulsing had stopped, saliva no longer poured from his mouth, and his eyes weren't rolling back anymore.
He just looked confused.
“Hey, babe” Craig said gently, removing the pillow, wiping Tweek's face with his sleeve (he could wash later), and putting a fresh, clean pillow under the blonde's head. “You had a seizure” he answered the confused, slightly afraid expression on his boyfriend's face. Tweek murmured something incomprehensible at this and shut his eyes. Craig breathed out.
He hadn't realized he was holding his breath.
“Yeah, get some rest” Craig said, grabbing a blanket off from the bed and draping it over the other boy. After a moment of consideration, he grabbed a stuffed animal and tucked it into Tweek's arms. “I've got you”
Craig wanted to kill Tweek's parents for every time they'd left him to seize alone.
