Magic Swap
“MASTER!”
The entire Fairy Tail guild stopped what they were doing, whether it was fighting or drinking. When they turned towards the door, the Fairy Tail guild members saw the blonde Celestial wizard, Lucy Heartfilia, looking panicked, with half of her clothes burned and occasionally coughing small bits of fire. Master Makarov, who was sitting at the bar, jumped off and walked over to the worried Celestial wizard.
“My child, what happened?”
“My idiot boyfriend happened! The people we saved from those demons gave us some weird crystal along with our reward, and that flame brain decided to play with it. He was throwing it in the air, and when it fell to the ground, it zapped both of us, and the next thing I know, I have Natsu’s magic!” Lucy exclaimed, shaking her fists and stomping on the floor in ire as she accidentally coughed up more fire, causing some burns to appear on the ground. Lucy put both of her hands over her mouth, with her face exploding into a red blush as she tried to keep more flames inside of her.
“OK, don’t worry, Lucy, we will take care of this. All we have to do is find Natsu, and we’ll be able to switch your powers back. Now…where’s Natsu?” Makarov asked. His question was soon answered as Loki crashed through the wall of the guild, landing in the middle of the floor, unconscious and covered in bruises. Natsu Dragneel then jumped through the hole, laughing maniacally and holding Lucy’s keys in his hands.
“Man, this is freaking sweet! I can get some people to practice my hand-to-hand combat with whenever I want!” Natsu exclaimed from the top of his lungs, twirling the keys around his finger. While he was celebrating, Lucy smacked Natsu in the back of the head, sending him falling on his ass, holding the back of his head in pain with both hands.
“You idiot! Stop beating up my spirits!” Lucy exclaimed as she grabbed Natsu by the hair and dragged him over to Master Makarov. “OK, Master, please fix this,” Lucy said, her voice considerably calmer than it was just a moment ago.
“Very well, but I’ll need the gem that you used to switch your powers in the first place,” Makarov explained, turning his attention to Natsu, who responded by looking away with a nervous and disappointed look on his face.
“But I like fighting Lucy’s spirits…,” Natsu mumbled, which Lucy responded to with another smack to the back of the head.
“Give Master the crystal, or so help me God, I will kick you out of the bed for an entire month!” Lucy exclaimed as Natsu looked at his blonde girlfriend with his eyes wide. Natsu looked as though he was going to protest, but after seeing Lucy’s chocolate eyes glaring at him, the pink-haired Dragon Slayer sighed, reached into his pocket, and gave Makarov the dark purple crystal that had streaks of red on it. Makarov then grabbed the crystal, spoke in some mysterious language, causing the crystal to glow before it began to shatter. While the crystal was in the process of cracking, Lucy and Natsu’s bodies began glowing, and once the crystal finally shattered into pieces, Lucy and Natsu stopped glowing.
“There you go. You two should have your powers back to normal,” Makarov said with a smile. Lucy tested this put by letting out a breath, sighing in relief when she saw that there was no fire shooting out. Natsu, on the other hand, looked disappointed when he attempted to use one of Lucy’s spirit keys and it didn’t work. Natsu dejectedly handed the keys to Lucy, causing the blonde Celestial wizard to roll her eyes before sending Loki back to the Celestial Spirit world, and putting her keys back on the keychain attached to the side of her skirt. Lucy then grabbed Natsu by the ear and pulled him away from Makarov and the rest of the guild.
“OW! Lucy, what the hell!?” Natsu yelled out, embarrassed that the whole guild was watching his girlfriend man-handling him like she was. The pink-haired Dragon Slayer could’ve sworn he also heard his mortal frenemy, Ice Make Magic user Gray Fullbuster, laughing at him. Natsu vowed that he would get his lick back against Gray when this was all over, but he was brought back into reality by Lucy twisting his earlobe.
“You think you’re getting out of this THAT easily!? Do you know how many things I accidentally burnt because of you!? You’re going to help me clean up the burns in my apartment and fix all the stuff that got broken because of the fire!” Lucy exclaimed while pulling him out of the door. Once they were out of the guild, Lucy let go of Natsu while sighing in annoyance and blowing a stray strand of blonde hair from out of her face.
“Natsu…you’re so lucky I love you or else I’d Lucy Kick your ass straight to the moon,” Lucy mumbled out before she and Natsu continued their way back to their newly shared home. As the two walked on, the tension between them (mainly the annoyance that Lucy felt towards her pink-haired boyfriend) began to dissipate, and by the time the two made it back to their shared home, Lucy had completely forgiven Natsu. This was usually what it was like for them; Natsu could be annoying and sometimes do incredibly stupid things without thinking, but he was so caring and protective that Lucy could never find herself staying mad at Natsu for too long. Once they made it back into their house, they spent the next hour cleaning and fixing the burns around their home, and the two then decided to spend the rest of the day together at home.
