    Jonathan is dozing when he sees Mina appear in the doorway of his room.

    He jerks up, eyes wide. “Mina,” he breathes, immediately scrambling to cover the mess of blood and fluid on his chest and lower body. The prospect of her seeing any of it is- too horrific to describe. The idea of her even being here is- “What are you- how are you here?”
