1. Drift stepped into their shared quarters and smiled at the sight that greeted him as the door slid shut behind him. Ratchet and Rodimus were recharging on the couch, slumped against each other and snoring softly with each ventilation.
For the thousandth time, his spark swelled with affection and wonder at being fortunate enough to have these two amazing mechs in his life. They had both seen him at his worst, and still they chose to bestow their love on him. It was humbling.
“Thank you,” he whispered softly, knowing that neither of them would feel comfortable if he said it when they were awake. Then he crossed the room and settled onto the couch next to them.
2. Ratchet sighed softly as he felt Drift snuggle into his side, and he wrapped an arm around the other mech without unshuttering his optics. A klik later, Rodimus reached across his lap and grabbed one of Drift’s hands, too.
I must be the luckiest fragger in the galaxy, he thought to himself, as his partners arranged themselves to more comfortably cuddle with Ratchet and still hold hands.
3. Ratchet pulled him closer as Rodimus cuddled in against his windshield. Drift squeezed his hand before pulling it up and tucking it against his chest, just over his spark. Rodimus had never felt so wanted, so loved, in his life–except when he’d had the Matrix anyway.
“I love you guys,” he said aloud, even as his spark sent a thank you to Primus, “So much.”
