Summary
The Kingdoms of Camelot, and their surrounding neighbors, have been relatively peaceful to each other, thanks to a deal sealed hundreds of years ago, at Camelot's birth. The deal proposed a tournament - a battle to the death, with only one victor - every twenty years, to bring a sense of pride to the winners. The time has come. Arthur has been chosen, and Merlin will not let his prince die.

Genuinely fucked me up - I have no words. I always knew that a hg crossover would be great (esp after reading tributes) so im not surprised about how great this is. But uhsdkjdgfiugsf THIS WAS SO GOOD. You could really see the bond between the two, and I liked how the fic emphasized the fact that Arthur genuinely laughed- and its significance (which we do not see a lot in the series- and im not talking about a chuckle). I enjoyed Kilghara's characterization and emotion, and Freya was handled perfectly. DO NOT GET ME STARTED ABOUT THE END. THE AMBIGUITY KILLED ME, BUT IT WAS SOO PERFECT - I CAN'T DEAL.
