If You Could….
Tony sat at the back of the theater playing the newest Marvel movie. No one he knew was with him, as they all had better things to do than be with him at this time.
Ziva was throwing one of her pity-me parties and everyone else was there, even Gibbs was there grilling up the steaks he used to have Tony over for. And another explosion went off on the screen to the thoughts he was having.
Silently he felt more than heard, the male form of the actor who was playing Loki on the screen appear next to him, popcorn going in the lap with fingers tossing some in his mouth, before looking at him. “So,” he grinned at him, while pointing at the screen and the Tony there talking about time travel with the others, “If you could, would you?”
Tony looked and saw everything was frozen as though waiting on his answer, “Why me?”
Loki, and it could only be him, shrugged, “Little bitch just had one of her Mossad friends light one up here and everyone is either dead or dying just to get at you. So, you have a choice now. Will you, or won’t you?”
Tony thought about it and asked when.
And the next thing he knew was he was waking up right after the night he had saved Mike’s life all those years ago now. But considering the conversation he remembered having, it was just a few hours ago.
He knew that his saving the Don was what had made his bones and had allowed him to move up to where the feds needed him to be. Thing was now that he had a second chance….
He headed to Radio Shack to get several parts he would need. Just because he wasn’t as good as the tech duo on the team, it didn’t mean he was like Gibbs and didn’t know his way around technology. The move by Sollonzo to take over Mike’s territory by anyway he could, had hit a new high with the newest try at killing Mike in the street as Mike was heading out to his car. Mike’s son was in critical condition and would be paralyzed if he remembered right. The fact that the hit was sanctified by Tony’s superior who was in the pay of Sollonzo, as Tony later found out, didn’t make things any better. Nor did the fact that Tony was the back-up plan to get Mike indited and out of the way should all else fail. Something Mike went along with since his son’s life was in danger, as proven when his protection at the hospital was all arrested, leaving the hospital bare of any security.
Tony took his electronic devices to the area the Familia was staying at and asked for the military minded family members to get him bits of explosive for a project he had in mind as he started to put together the little racing cars like he used to race the neighborhood kids with.
These were based on the corporate models that allowed the little things to prop up on the wheels and spin. He had just added a tiny magnet to the tip of the hoods and the explosives to the bottoms of the cars for a little midnight rendezvous with Sollonzo and his lieutenants’ cars while they were in them. Right under the fuselage to blow them the hell up with no one the wiser as to who had done it. With them gone, the attempted takeover/war was over and terms were negotiated. Tony was moved up to be the protector of the Familia’s children from then on. And their tech advisor.
Tony chose his familia this time and not the fake ones he tried to make ties with like last time.
