Ok, alright, be prepared for a wild ride...
Deltarune meets Elektra Assassin, basically.
So, I'm adapting portions of a deltafic called "Broken and Winded" into an abstract comic, an experiment similar to "Paper Hats", a Moomin fic I'm also writing and making into a comic of sorts.
As for a more profound explanation, well... I've noticed that lately, my art is delving into more personal topics. It always did, to be fair, but now things are getting less subtle, I could say. There's a recurring theme of sadness, loneliness, isolation and empathy throughout my works, with characters talking on their own about they feelings or characters analyzing other characters's feelings. The coloring also appears to evoke different states of mind and I'm experimenting with the many ways text and drawings relate with one another in the comic format.
So, to sumn it up: I'm writing a Deltarune fanfiction named after a lyric from a Cocteau Twins's "The Spangle Maker", and it's an AU, of course. This fic has a very sober tone from the very first chapter, in which Noelle wakes up at night because her sister can't stop crying in the bathroom.

person I'm asking for isn't my sister.
When I walked into the bathroom,
whose door was slightly open, I saw
her, kneeling in front of the toilet,
almost as if she were praying over it.
I smelled urine, but I didn't care.
