Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Reaction

Summary:

Being transported to a weird movie theater wasn't on anyone's to-do list, especially when said theater is now filled with both Autobots and Decepticons.

Where were they?

How did they get here?

And why was there a disc that they have to watch?

...what do you mean Mirage is in this movie?

Aka, G1 characters react to Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, because I need more reaction fics of this movie

Chapter Text

Optimus knew he had fallen into recharge in his own habsuite the night before, having been exhausted from another fight against the Decepticons. He was relieved they had won, but the fight had drained him of his energy, so he had offlined his optics the second his helm hit the berth. What was strange, however, was the fact that when he onlined them again, he wasn't in his berth, but instead a large, red theater room, with what seemed to be most of his faction, and...the Decepticons.

"Decepticons!" Cliffjumper cried out from beside Optimus, raising his blaster and firing at the nearest Decepticon, who happened to be Starscream, who shrieked and recoiled, only for the bullet to disappear before it could reach the seeker's body.

"Blasted Auto-scum!" Skywarp hissed, lunging for Prowl, but it was like there was an invisible barrier in between them, stopping them from touching, despite how hard the purple seeker tried.

"What is this, Prime?" Megatron growled, stepping forward and glaring at the Autobot leader, who looked around the room curiously.

"I have no clue, it seems we were forced here, just like you." The Prime murmured, stepping over to what seemed like the doors of the theater, but when he tried to push them open, they remained shut. Locked in then.

"Looks to be a movie theater!" Jazz exclaimed, rubbing the soft fabric of the seats.

"Yes, I think we all figured that one out." Mirage muttered, arms crossed over his chassis as he sat down on one of the seats, humming at the excellent quality of the velvet.

"Well, I'm not staying in here!" Starscream declared, firing his nullrays multiple times at the walls and doors, forcing Autobots and Decepticons alike to duck down to avoid being hit. Not a dent nor a mark could be seen on the walls.

"Starscream, you fool, stop firing this instant!" Megatron roared, and the seeker reluctantly stopped, though he glared daggers into the Decepticon leader's helm. Megatron rolled his optics and turned to Soundwave, who had let out his cassetticons and was now watching the chaos around him. "Soundwave, have you detected any means to escape?"

The spy master tilted his helm, before silently shaking it.

Prowl also voiced a negative, having scanned the entire room and finding no exit. "It's as if these doors are just for show." He muttered.

"It seems we're trapped here, but for how long and why is still unknown to us." Optimus murmured, coming forward to stand in the middle of the room. "I suggest a truce, until we can all get out of here."

"Of course you would want a truce, Prime." Megatron spat, whirling around to glare at the Autobot leader.

"Then what do you suggest, Megatron? We cannot fight and we cannot escape, the only way out will be if we work together." Optimus retorted calmly, crossing his arms over his chassis. The Decepticon leader just growled at him before turning away.

"Hey look, I think I found something!" Bumblebee chirped, holding up what seemed to be a disc. "It doesn't have anything on it, but I think it's supposed to go into this disc player-"

"Brilliant deduction." Starscream drawled, but the minibot ignored him.

"-and there seems to be a note beside it!"

Both leaders perked up, heading over to the yellow bot. "What does it say, Bumblebee?" Optimus rumbled.

"Uhh...it says that this disc holds the story of bots from another universe, mostly around certain mechs in this room. Hopefully it shines some wisdom to those who need it." Bumblebee read out, then blinked, glancing down at Spike, who Optimus only just realized was there. "Can these things actually hold universes in them?"

"...no? At least, I hope this one doesn't."

"Well, why don't we put it in and find out?" Jazz hummed, already relaxing back into one of the plush seats, his pedes kicked up onto another in front of him, which just so happened to be Mirage's, who gave him a scowl before knocking his pedes off.

"Are we seriously going to just sit down and watch a movie?" Starscream shrieked, the bots around him wincing at his shrill voice.

"Not much we can do, maybe watching this movie will actually be our ticket out of here." Wheeljack shrugged, sitting down beside Jazz.

"Well I'm not sitting next to some dirty Autobots!" Rumble huffed, sitting down at least four chairs away from the Autobots, arms crossed over his chassis, and Frenzy sat beside him, the other two cassetticons soon joining them.

"Yeah, me neither!" Frenzy agreed, though he seemed more excited than anything. Soundwave silently went over and sat beside his cassettes, the visor and mask giving nothing away on how he felt about the situation.

"Alright, put the disc in when everyone's found a seat, Bumblebee." Optimus murmured, patting the yellow bot's shoulder before wandering over, deciding to sit a seat behind his Autobots. He knew his larger size would get in the way of their viewing, after all. He spotted Megatron and Starscream fighting over the same seat further down the row, until the Decepticon leader inevitably shoved the seeker away and sat down. Starscream pouted for a moment before reluctantly sitting beside Thundercracker and Skywarp.

"Alright, everyone ready? I'm putting it in!" Bumblebee chirped, sliding the disc into the player, and the big theater screen lit up.

Notes:

Yeah, very short chapter, I know, I just wanted to get the setting down before I did anything else
frfjrjncncdmcn I'm so nervous whenever I start a new fic, especially one I've never done before

If I forgot to add any characters...no I didn't, what do you mean, haha
They just haven't spoken until like...five chapters later
