May wants to kiss Ravi.
"So, like, are you gonna do it then?" asks Buck as his brows crinkle, amusement curling his lips.
"No!" yelps May loudly as she throws a pillow at her pseudo-older brother. "Are you insane? He'd swerve me so quick it'd be crazy. I can't just kiss him!"
"Oh please, he totally likes you. Plus, the only people who would swerve you are losers that aren't worth your time. Trust me, Kid, he is worth your time," snorts Buck as he tosses the pillow back.
"I can't risk that!" huffs May pointedly as she holds the pillow to her chest. "We only just traded numbers, and we don't even text often. I try, but he just doesn't seem interested."
"It's not that he isn't interested," replies Buck seriously as he looks at her. "He sucks at texting. Like, he can be good if it's about an event that he knows he's partially responsible for. Just trust me on this."
"What am I supposed to do with that?" asks May with a whine as she flops back against the couch. "I like him, Buck. Like… I really like him. He's so sweet, and I just— Ugh!"
"Kid, you gotta talk to him. Hell, message him and see if he wants to get tea or coffee with you," offers Buck as his amusement returns.
"And what am I supposed to do if he shoots it down?" grumbles May even as she brings the phone up and finds Ravi's message thread.
"Nothing because he won't," replies Buck seriously, a knowing tone that has a smirk curving his lips. "He's probably going to be dense, but he won't reject it. He will figure out how to fit himself into your schedule and you into his own."
May sends the message before she can think her way out of it.
May: Would you maybe wanna get coffee or tea with me sometime this week?
"Okay, sent," sighs May as she moves the pillow away from her. "Is the pie cool enough now? I need a slice of strawberry pie like right now."
"Yeah, it should be. Go ahead and get you a slice," replies Buck with a chuckle as he pushes himself off the couch. "While you're doing that, I'm gonna go get the food from the delivery person because they're down the road."
"Gladly," mutters May as she shoves herself up and heads for the kitchen.
Her phone buzzes in her hand as she goes to lay it on the counter, and she looks at it.
Ravi: Could it be a date? Either way, the answer is yes. When are you free?
May: I'd love if it could be, and I've got Monday and Wednesday free until noon. What about you?
Ravi wants it to be a date.
She squeals as she hears Buck thank the driver. She can't wait to tell him… Even if she has to thank him too.
