Notes:

Heya!! This is my first fanfic, so I apologize in advance if it isn’t perfect or if I have written something incorrectly.

Chapter Text

"Avid!!! Where did my boots go?!" Scott called out, currently in a rush to get ready. Him and Avid finally got in touch with Owen again after years, finally—FINALLY— being able to meet up again.

"What?! Why are you asking me?!" Avid called back out, in the middle of practically tugging his hair out as he tried to brush it— very poorly, mind you. ".. They’re by the door, next to Shelbys shoes" Avid finally called out sheepishly again after a moment
"THANK YOU!" Scott shouted back, a tad annoyed. He still sounded fond as per normal, since he still loved Avi-.. Cared. He cared for Avid. —since he stil cared for Avid deeply.

Yeah yeah, maybe Scott did finally realise some sort of.. Feeling, after Avids death back at Oakhurst. Yeah, he was definitely still mad at Owen and Pyro for it. Yes, he still forgave both of them just because he valued... Something, in each of them.

Pyro was a good minion— a guy who'd do anything Scott said, no questions asked. He was perfectly wrapped tight and snug around Scotts finger, stuck and would not budge—even without being given a single sliver attention, even as Scotts phone blew up via text messages from Pyro every day, he simply could not care less after his wrong doings.
Owen? They had a decent relationship, I guess. They stopped interacting after the events that occurred Oakhurst all those years back, so there isn’t really much to say.

Scotts quick run-through thoughts were quickly cut off by a loud tumble from the large apartment stairs. Avid would trip on his bag that was left on the floor, falling down the stairs. He'd quickly be caught by Scott before the possibility of falling harshly down the stairs was comprehensible.
Now, it wasn’t those elegant movie-fall-catches in K-Drama or romcoms, just a singular normal catch that really anyone would do for a person close to them— as if a front facing trust fall, essentially. Scott’s arms were placed beneath the crook of Avids, Avids face buried into the others shoulder. Avid breathed heavily for a moment, trying to catch up with what just happened.

".. You okay, Avid?" Scott asks after a moment, voice soft and slightly breathy— as if catching his own breath. He smiled slightly, nervous yet somehow as charming—to Avid, at least—as always.

Avid turns a bit red, simply burying his face deeper into Scott’s shoulder. He quickly shakes it off, turning his chin up back to Scott slightly and smiling sheepishly. ".. Yeah!! I'm fiiiinnnneee, really- y-you can let go now!!" he stammered slightly, heavily affected by the charm of the much taller vampire.
Scott quickly let go after a moment, helping Avid stand back up and quickly fixing the others hair— the action of which was paired with two sets of eyes looking anywhere but one another, silently too flustered to even admit they were flustered.
"... Thanks" Avid said quietly, a tad embarrassed.

The two stood there for a moment before quickly scurrying back downstairs, continuing to get ready to leave.
