   Summary

   After receiving devastating news that he is infertile and will never be able to give his beloved Breakdown a sparkling, Knock Out spirals into quiet despair. A long drive through the cold emptiness of Cybertron’s wastelands is meant to clear his processor—nothing more.

   Instead, he finds a miracle.

   Crying weakly in the dust is a newborn Seeker sparkling, tiny wings trembling and optics dim with fear. Rumors whisper through Cybertronian society that Seeker broods sometimes abandon their weakest young. Whether the story is true or not, the sight is enough to shatter what remains of Knockout’s spark.

   Unable to leave the fragile sparkling behind, he brings the tiny mech back to the Nemesis. When no one can identify the child—no brood marks, no records, no sire or carrier to claim him—Knockout makes a decision that will change everything.
