    Life was not supposed to be upturned the way it was for Maren, one second a CIA agent, living her twenties less vividly than most her age, but with enough oddities to make up for it, the next prisoner to the enemies not even her Autobot allies can easily stand against, much less her human self.
    There was nothing that could've prepared her for the routine check destined to become a nightmare she wouldn't escape.
    But maybe she finds a reason why she may not want to, because there's a glimmer among the shadows of the Nemesis, one dark stain that seems different than the rest.

    Impossible, though... because Decepticons are nothing but darkness and cruelty. Or are they really all the same?
