Weather

Summary:

A collection of weather-themed fics.

These fics contain spoilers of the whole series.
Specifically, the chapters Wind, Thunderstorm, Fog and Sun are set after the end of the series.

Notes:

I started this series because I wanted to write something else in a style similar to Beardbraids. In the end, I wrote more than what I planned (and it drove me CRAZY) but I won. The oneshots are ready.
Enjoy!

Chapter 1: Clouds [Gabriel de León, Amélie Castia and Celene Castia]

Summary:

Gabriel, Amélie and Celene watch the clouds in the sky.

Chapter Text

Laying in the grass, Gabriel, Celene and Amélie were looking at the cloudy sky. They had some free time before lunch was ready and Amélie had the idea of looking for objects in the clouds.

They hadn’t had any luck yet.

«The clouds are not very creative today.» stated Celene.

«It’s because there is not much wind to make them change shape.» answered Gabriel, batting a fly away with a hand.

«Oh, stop complaining!» exclaimed Amélie. She pointed at a cloud and said: «What does that look like?»

«Like a cloud?» asked Gabriel, and he received a light punch in response.

«It kinda looks like the neighbors’ oak. I don’t know why half of that plant is completely bare.» said Celene.

«Good guess! To me, it looks like the baker’s wife. She’s so round!»

Gabriel started laughing while Celene punched her sister. «That’s not very kind!»

«She’s right, though.»

Celene punched his brother as well before lying in the grass again.

She pointed to another cloud and said: «That one looks like a chicken. It even has a beak!»

«I thought it looked like a boat, but yeah, you’re right.» commented Gabriel.

«What are you talking about? Boats don’t look like that! Are you blind?» asked Celene.

«Hey!»

«Look at that one! Look! It looks like a butterfly!» said Amélie excitedly.

«You’re right!» answered Celene.

«The one next to it looks like a carrot.» said Gabriel.

«It really does.»

«Those ones under the sun can be potatoes. And that one? That’s a cabbage!» said Amélie.

«We need to find a bowl then.» replied Celene.

«That one?» asked Gabriel, pointing to the sky.

«Too round, it looks like a ball.»

«Maybe it’s a cauldron then.»

«A very big, cloudy soup.» giggled Amélie.

«Can we add something else? Some meat?» asked Gabriel, amused.

«If you can find them, of course!»

By lunch time, the clouds’ soup also contained mushrooms, turnips, a steak and a fennel. They were hungry by then and, for once, no one complained about the actual soup they had to eat.
