Summary
Korra wakes chained in a cell, her bending sealed, her captor unhurried and strangely certain he isn't her enemy. He doesn't want to break the Avatar — he wants to introduce her to the person underneath the title. That turns out to be more dangerous than any cage, and the choice she makes down there — about the man holding the key, and about herself — is one she'll be answering for. Then the quiet breaks: what's outside the cell doesn't stay outside for long, the city tips toward open war, and the girl who was taken has to decide what kind of Avatar walks back out — with the whole city at stake.
