The bar might as well have been open to everyone on this fine night, well- it was, to people who were over twenty one. The place reeked of alcohol, bad decisions, and idiots, because surely that was a valid smell in a place such as this. Both Scythe and Broker sat halfway hunched over the bar like the dummies they were, each with a glass of wine in their hand. The bar itself was smooth, but far from clean, much to the despise of the poor bartender, who had scrubbed the unfortunate counter at least nine times since Scythe and Broker arrived. Scythe's teal rattlesnake tail hung limply behind her, its scale glimmering in the harsh light of the nightclub. Broker's demon tail gave a faint, drunken swish alongside his small demon wings. The dealer's clawed hand was clumsily gripping his own wine glass, while Scythe was barely keeping her own glass upright.
Broker spared her a look, "Careful..." His voice slurred, "...your glass is about to make independent decisionssss."
Scythe scoffed, the sound coming out strangely easier than usual thanks to the alcohol, "Shut up, ma glass is an independent guy."
Broker rolled his eyes so hard it was a miracle they actually came back, "Oh really? He got a name?"
Scythe scowled at him, her glass eye catching the lights above, "No, now back the fuck off..."
Broker chuckled under his breath, "If you insistttt~" He purred, voice sly and absolutely not backing off.
Scythe shot the shorter Inphernal a deadly look, "Ya heard me, little rat. Back off."
"And what if I don'ttttt~? Miss Southern Sassssss~?" Broker immediately interjected, stretching out the words out like slime.
"Don't fuckin' call me that... Makes me sound like some comedian or dumbass shit..." Scythe grumbled, dragging a clawed hand down her face in exasperation.
The dealer giggled to himself, "So pissy~ How amusing~"
Scythe whipped toward him and hissed, her long forked tongue slithering out between her lips threateningly, "Ah am not! You just have the mouth of a sparrow! Loud, annoyin', and a piece shit when no one fuckin' asked ya!"
Broker shrugged lazily, "That's a shame, I was going for an imp~! Plus I'd also call you a bitch~!" He ducked before Scythe could whack the crap outta him.
Scythe banged her head on the bar with a loud thunk, "You piece of god fucking damnin' shit...!"
Broker cackled at the action and faced away for a second like it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen from Scythe in months, which in this case, it probably was.
Scythe lifted her head and shot a pathetic glare at her friend, whose demon wings were twitching like they were on crack, "I hate ya so much that I'd throw ya in an oven if I wasn't completely wasted."
Broker grinned, sharp teeth glittering in the light, "Pussy."
The wanted criminal growled, "Say that again, I fuckin' dare ya..."
Broker's grin widened, "Pussy-"
Scythe shot up in her barstool, "DAMN YOU-"
She launched him off his own stool with her teal rattlesnake tail, "-serves ya right."
Broker remained on the floor for a few solid minutes, then chirped back, "But what if I stole your weapon."
Scythe's head twisted around again, "NO. GET YER CRUSTY HANDS OFF MA BELOVED SCYTHE."
Broker chuckled, smirking, raising his clawed hands from on the floor, "Fine, fine~ Pussy."
Scythe tramped over to him, "I swear to Father Overseer if ya call me that one more time...!"
Broker crossed his arms and positioned them behind his head, "Ohhhhh, ssssssswearing in our lord's name, how vain~"
The wanted criminal smacked his face with her rattlesnake tail, "No, shut up!"
Broker didn't even flinch, "Do it again...~" He slurred.
Scythe's glass eye twitched, "Ohhhh, you are sooo dead...!"
Broker smirked smugly, "It seems like I am still breathing, my dear~"
Scythe paused at the new nickname, "Ma what."
Broker offered her a wink with his good eye, "My dear~ Don't you like that~?"
Scythe groaned in anger, her teal rattlesnake tail giving an irked rattle behind her, "No, I don't fucking like it! Find anoth'r one or shit!"
Broker lifted his head enough to hold eye contact, "No."
Scythe's forked tongue snuck out of her mouth slyly before she shot back a fiery hiss at her friend, "YES."
Broker waved a dismissive hand at her, "Nah."
The wanted criminal scowled, her rattlesnake fangs briefly showing before disappearing under her lips, "You... are such a bitch."
Broker flicked his demon tail in her general direction, "Right back at'cha, Miss Southern Sasssss~"
Scythe stomped a heel-like boot on the bar floor, "STOP CALLIN' ME THAT, I SWEAR TO FATHER OVERSEER!!"
Unfortunately, Broker did not stop, at all, not even close. The dealer adjusted on the floor and propped himself up by an elbow.
Broker raised a brow at Scythe, "Man, you are sooooo irritable when you're drunk, y'know?"
Scythe crossed her arms firmly, "I'm aware. Anythin' else ya'd like ta say?"
Broker shrugged aimlessly, "Not really."
Scythe gave a firm huff, "Good, I'm done with ya actin' like a lil' shit, anyway."
Broker gasped in mock-offense, "Little shit?? Oh my gosh, how DARE you! I'm not that annoying!"
The wanted criminal barely even batted an eye, "No one cares."
Broker giggled, kicking his feet innocently, "Aww, I feel so loved~!"
Scythe faced away from him, "Loved is a flexible word fer that, but sure..."
Broker popped up onto his feet, "Alright! We about done?"
Scythe stretched her arms, nodding, "Yuh, I'm 'bout ready to head back to the Church."
Broker wiped a nonexistent bead of sweat from his forehead, "Me too! I'm all drunk-ed out!"
Scythe offered a pointless, confused gesture at him, "Drunk-ed out? Broker, ya kiddin' me? C'mon, let's get outta here before ya start insisting you created the dictionary."
Broker opened his mouth, but Scythe smacked one of her clawed hands over the dealer's mouth, "Shut up, that's fer another day. Got it?"
Broker reluctantly nodded, "Yes, ma'am..."
The two thieves began to amble toward the bar doors, finally wrapping up their weekly wine session. Ah, of course, yet another night used efficiently, or what they would called efficiently at this point. Now, it was back to their jobs and real lives as normal.
