Technoblade opened the doors to the outdoors mini-shed, picking up the box that was inside of it with a dubious expression.
He never really trusted Chat’s unhinged ideas, especially when they involved eating something. But a mummified finger? In a shed at his school?
…
…
…Well, he was feeling pretty bored in this life anyway.
There were no mobs, no monsters or magical creatures that hunted people - or, well, there was something but nobody else could see them. They didn’t bother him unless he looked at them for too long.
And they were really easy to kill too, using the funky mystical sword he found at an abandoned temple. Otherwise, he couldn’t touch them.
So…
…yeah, he was bored.
He slipped the box into his school uniform’s pants pockets, closed the shed and walked off. He passed another student, one he was fairly familiar with. He thinks his name is… uh, something like Itadori Yuji.
Itadori Yuji opened the shed.
It was empty.
Oh man, his senpais were going to be so upset…
It was late at night, and Techno stood on the roof of his school for… no reason that he could figure out, really. But it was the quietest, most open space that he knows of. And Chat mentioned something about a roof when rambling at him about this whole “JJK-verse,” at some point, he thinks…
Eh, he doesn’t know. It’s hard to tell what they say sometimes, yelling over themselves all the time.
He tossed the unwrapped, mummified finger back and followed it with a swig of his water bottle, and—
—
“I knew it! The light feels best in the flesh!” Claws, long and sharp and colored a deep black in shadow on calloused hands, curved into the fabric of a modern school uniform shirt. And then they tore it. Ripped it to shreds, dropping the scraps to the floor of the school roof. “Cursed flesh is so boring. So now… where are the people? The women?”
Sukuna, the King of Curses grins as he steps onto the railing on the school roof, overlooking the city.
Buildings stretched far and wide and tall. His Era could never imagine the engineering feats that would have went into constructing these monoliths— well, since there are so many of them, perhaps ‘monoliths’ isn’t the correct word…
“What a wonderful era to be reawakened! Women and children are crawling everywhere like maggots, how marvelous! It’ll be a massacre!” Sukuna laughs, laughs and laughs until his face is grabbed by his own clawed hand that seemed to have been reaching for his throat, pushing him back and off the railing.
“Uh, what’re you’re doing with my body? Give it back.” That’s the voice of his Vessel, the student who had taken the finger from a temperature shed and ate it seemingly on a whim. Who, all in all, seems way less impressed than he is confused.
“This is really weird, man.”
Says the man that ate a mummified finger. Sukuna was a cannibal, sure, but the taste of rot was unappealing.
Even still, this student was taking back control of the body that was supposed to be his.
“How are you doing that?” Sukuna’s grin falls. He is confused, he should probably be angry… but he is curious; what kind of human body, human vessel, could possibly suppress him? “What is that noise?”
“Well… it’s my body,” the boy reasons, planting his feet steadily on the floor of the roof.
His logic would be sound, if it were not for the reincarnated Heian-Era Sorcerer awakened within him.
“And, uh, you’re probably hearing Chat right now. That’s what I call the voices.”
Sukuna felt a fleeting notion of almost respect; this Vessel was gearing up for a fight against a soul that was, unbeknownst to him, enveloped within his own. Futile, and more foolish than anything… but worth noting.
Not even a hint of fear in the man.
CRASH
“Don’t move; you are no longer human!” Some random guy in a different school’s uniform who just burst through the doors to the roof yells at them as he puts two fists outwards.
The Vessel’s readiness to fight swapped targets, going from the intangible soul within him to the teenager who was interrupting their introduction to each other.
“Who’s this guy?” Techno grumbles under his breath, looking at the dude and finding him lacking. Scrawny emo boy-band lookin—
“Under Jujutsu regulations,” the guy continued shouting, sweat sparkling in the moonlight across his forehead while the shadows beneath him began to coalesce, “I will now exorcise you!”
“A Sorcerer,” Sukuna responds, similarly unimpressed. It seems like Sorcerers have degraded since the Heian Era, if someone like this has been sent to dispatch the Vessel of the King of Curses.
Techno just stared at the dude who was conducting some shadow ritual or something.
”…Yeah, I’m just gonna go now.”
And he took off, jumping off the roof of the building and disappearing into the copse of trees below him.
“What’s the situation?” Another man appears out of thin air, holding a take-away bag with one hand and his phone in the other, looking like he strolled right out of a photoshoot… while wearing a blindfold.
“You’re late, Gojo-Sensei!”
Technoblade kicked the door to his room closed, falling backwards onto his bed and staring blankly at his ceiling fan.
“So you’ve been fighting Curses your whole life, without even knowing what they are.”
…so, he’s got a new voice in his head now.
Hey, we tried our best!
He didn’t understand a word of what we said!
It’s probably because YOU ALL SUCK AT EXPLAINING THINGS
FIGHT ME, NERD!
And it gets along well enough with the thousands of other voices in his head.
”So, uh, your name is Sukuna?” Techno asked aloud.
He felt his cheek peel open, a new mouth forming there.
Yikes. Did not like that.
”What’s it to you, kozo?”
’Kozo.’
Derogatory, translates to something along the lines of “punk” or “brat”… in the modern day.
But Techno was made aware that this Sukuna guy was from the Heian Era, where that word may have had a different meaning; a title, something meaning “apprentice monk.”
And, from what he’s gathered, Buddhism and Sorcery has gone hand in hand with each other since the beginning.
The doorbell rang.
Techno sat up and stared at the closed door of his bedroom.
…nobody rang the doorbell this late at night.
He grabbed the magical sword, which was propped on the wall next to his bed, and started walking.
He might as well see what this is about.
The doorbell began ringing again, and again and again, incessantly this time.
Well that’s just annoying.
When he opens the front door to his house, a tall man, more of a beanpole, with a shock of white hair and a blindfold of all things, smiles at him.
GOJO
GOJO MY BELOVED
GOJO-SENSEI!!
NAH, I’D WIN
SATORU GOJO!!!
HUSBAND!
No, it’s Gojo Satoru! We’re in Japan, we’ve been in Japan for the last fifteen years, idiot!
GETO’S BF OMG
YOWAI MO
“Yo,” the man gave a two-finger salute as he stepped through the threshold, the space between Techno and the wall not large enough for him to squeeze by… and yet it seemed to warp around him, letting him in. “My name is Gojo Satoru. You’ve probably heard of me.”
“Right…”
Chat knew his name… ‘Gojo Satoru?’
“These voices… they are very knowledgeable?” Sukuna asked within his mind, directing his question at his new Vessel.
“Eh, sometimes,” Techno responds out loud with a shrug. “They mostly just like it when I fight. They demand blood a lot.”
“Ooh, you talking to someone? Maybe someone whose name starts with ‘Su’ and ends with ‘kuna’?” The man needled. “Is he demanding blood from you right now? That’s so fun!”
Sukuna ponders.
Well, he certainly enjoys a good fight himself. And blood is always in demand… maybe this whole Vessel situation, despite the fact that he clearly has some ability to restrain him, wouldn’t be so bad after all.
…if the voices would ever shut up, at some point.
”I honestly wasn’t going to come at first,” the man yawned, bored of waiting for a response, bringing a hand to cover his mouth like social etiquette was an afterthought. Which, mood.
“But the higher-ups got involved after hearing that a special-grade object went missing. I agreed to come as long as they let me go sightseeing. And my little student told me that you ate it! So, of course, I followed you home!”
Higher-Ups?
That sounded like… a government.
In a blink, Gojo is before Techno, bent down and leaning forward waayyyy into his personal space while shutting the door with a long arm over Techno’s shoulder.
Yikes. Too close, man.
And then Gojo leans forwards even more.
That was just great, really.
”Damn, it really did combine with you,” Gojo laughed, snickering as he pulled back. “That’s hilarious.”
Is it really? Techno just wanted to go to sleep now, man.
“Anything off with your body?” Gojo asks, deceptively light-heartedly, starting to stretch.
“Uh, nope,” Techno answers.
“You hearing voices?”
Techno sweats.
He’s not exactly ready to tell a stranger that he’s been hearing voices for hundreds of years before he was even born…
”…what?” Sukuna, who somehow caught his line of thought, asked in his head.
Eh. Not important.
“So you are!” Gojo grinned, reaching out again, hand landing on Techno’s shoulder—
Techno struck out with his sword—
And suddenly, they were both outside in a forest clearing.
Techno blinked.
Teleportation…?
…no, this guy can warp space. He warped them there.
The sword that Techno had swung was… just stationary. Held in the air as if it were a solid.
Techno blinked again.
”Heh?”
”That’s my Technique,” Gojo chirped cheerily, skipping backwards a few steps. Without the proximity, the sword sliced through the air without resistance. “So, you mind swapping out with Sukuna? I only need, let’s say… ten seconds.”
A little rushed, but it’s a one-shot that I had to get out of my head 😭

Thank you spiritram for the idea!
And then, more recently, JulesRedenger drew Technoblade as Sukuna’s Vessel as fanart for Ruining the Culling Game (NOT CLICKBAIT!) which was AWESOME!!
Thank you both!!
