Chapter Text
Steve Harrington was happy. He was splashing the other kids in the pool. Max was yelping and ducking as Lucas and Dustin splashed water at each other. This party was great-they had defeated Vecna, they had a chance to rest...
But Finney did not get rest.
Finney did not get rest.
Finney did not get rest.
Finney did not get rest.
Steve was drying off to go help Robin with her sunscreen. Then, she turned to him.
"Am I a replacement for the other Robin?"
"Wh-What?" Steve asked.
"Why are you still scared? You're not a kid. And you should've known better! You put Gwenny in danger! Your sister. How could you?" Robin spat at him.
Finney's Steve's eyes widened and he turned. A face, covered by a mask with a frown and horns. Watching. Waiting. Calculating.
Steve gasped.
"No... this can't be happening!" He whispered.
"Why not?" Robin's face morphed into Eddie's, "You're disgusting. A faggot? Who would want you? And even if I did want you-which, gross, by the way-you're already dirty. Claimed by him. I hate the sight of you and touching you because of it. You disgusting freak." He spat.
The Grabber watched him.
"You'll like it more this time." He said with a slight childish giggle.
Steve stared in open-mouthed horror.
"Steve? Steve?" Robin Buckley was snapping her fingers in front of her Platonic soulmate's face.
Her brow furrowed. She didn't like his unresponsiveness. It was jarring.
"Alright, dingus. You win this round of Scare or Be Scared!"
No answer.
Robin turned Steve around. Eyes white.
"No!" She gasped loudly.
Nancy, Max, Eddie, and Dustin all looked at her immediately. Then saw what she was staring at.
A very non-present Steve.
"He's dead though?"
"What's his favourite song?"
"STEVE DO YOU HEAR MEEEE-"
"Steve, please!"
