One year later
“Do you Grian take Scar as your lawfully wedded husband”
“I do”
“and do you Scar take Grian as your lawfully wedded husband”
“I do”
“And with that I declare that your vows have been renewed! You may now kiss your husband”
as Grian leaned in to kiss Scar he couldn’t help but reflect on what had happened in the past year.
It had taken time and help from their families but he and Scar had been able to rebuild what they had lost.
Unfortunately most of the rebuilding took place over video calls and short visits since they both had lives to return to but after 9 months Scar had presented a solution to their problems.
Grian could help open up a new store in Boatem which would allow him to be close to Scar and make things easier for them both.
At first he had been wary of the idea, reluctant to leave his family behind but they had reminded him that he could visit them at any time and vice versa which was what finally sold him on the idea.
Not long after they Scar had reproposed and they had set about renewing their vows.
Now here they were a year later happily together on their true wedding day and he couldn’t be happier.
Scar pulled away from his and Grian’s kiss and saw only happiness in his eyes.
It was hard to believe that they had made it here but they truly had and the day was going just as imagined.
When they had told Poppy, Lilac and Sunny that they were getting their vows renewed they had jumped up in joy and Scar was happy to know that they had their support.
Admittedly it had been a bit challenging at first to adjust his life to having Grian back in it but they had made it work as well as they could and because of that things had gone well when Grian, Poppy and Sunny moved in with him and Lilac in Boatem.
Looking down at Grian he couldn’t resist taking another kiss from him and kissed him quickly on the lips
“Thank you”
“What for?”
“Giving me another chance”
If you had told Poppy 1 year ago that her mother and father would be getting remarried she would have been shocked and have laughed but here she was 1 year later at the wedding where the vows had just been renewed.
She looked over at Lilac and Sunny who were crying in happiness, something she knew she was also doing and felt accomplished.
Her and Lilacs plan to bring Grian and Scar back together had gone swimmingly well and led to their family being happy.
She couldn’t lie, she missed seeing Grian’s side of the family as much as they did but she was happy that she got to live with Scar and Lilac.
Quickly she pulled Lilac into a hug
“Poppy what are you doing?”
“thank you for going along with this crazy idea”
“Oh! No problem! I’m just happy we were able to have everything end happily”
“And it will continue that way forever and ever”
and so it did and they lived happily ever after
