In his absence Martha had lain beside her husband, and laced her fingers with his. She had shut his eyes, and fixed his coat. They used to stargaze that way, out on the lawn behind the house in summer, when the air was hot and filled with fireflies. With nothing left that he could do, Bruce had curled up between them. He'd thought maybe he would die. He'd thought maybe he could go wherever it was that they had gone. It was the only thing he could think of. Their blood had soaked hot through his clothes. He couldn't see the stars past the city lights. The police had thought he was dead, too, when they got there.

Hands down one of the top 5 Harry Potter Fanfic I have ever read. Brilliant, clever, smart, insightful, twisting and unexpected. This story had me on the edge of my seat. It really feels like a Harry Potter series for Ginny, and it is marvelous.
