Summary
WIP. Starts toward the end of s01e10.
An Izzy-centric fic, exploring his darkly fucked up relationship with Ed and his new and very different relationship with Lucius. Ostensibly, it's a story about pirates fucking. But in truth, I'm writing about Izzy's trauma and his release from it. If that sounds a bit heavy, don't be put off: I promise it's mostly porn.
There will be a few surprises.
Izzy *will* get his happy ending.

Summary
For a long time, he thought that it was Bonnet who would be the death of Blackbeard, but it turned out that it was both of them. Neither gave Ed what he needed and, too focused on their own insecurities, they both failed him in the end. Bonnet by abandoning him, and Izzy by trying to force him out of his despair.
Maybe neither of them could have helped Ed before resolving their own problems. Each of them had their own demons to deal with, and they were all destined to collide at this critical moment in time. Maybe one broken man just cannot help another. -

After Ed and Stede’s reunion, Izzy could leave. But part of the reason why he stays is to punish Ed by making him watch as his former lover grows more bitter and miserable every day. He knows it’s spiteful and petty, but then again, Bonnet named his boat the Revenge.
