Summary
When the pink shower water finally clears, Izuku wraps a towel around his shivering frame and pretends that it can protect his psyche from the infection of trepidation soaring through his veins. (He knows it’s growing its wings in his heart, breaking through muscle to fly free of its confinement in his body.) He cradles the remnants of his sanity close to his heart, nurturing them like he wished he had been.
The buildings alarm begins blaring , lights flashing, bared like the teeth of a predator. His bow is in his hand before he can even think to hesitate, quiver soon following. The click of it attaching to his belt is drowned by the screaming and squelch of blood. Precious blood, meant to live.
Izuku wonders if red is really supposed to symbolize life as he sees it paint the hallways with death.
(Izuku is raised by All For One. He’s a villain…… But is he really???
