The next prompt in my random word generator writing challenge was ACCESSIBILITY.
As someone who lives with and cares for multiple people with different types and degrees of disability, this one got pretty personal and pretty long. I think it's the longest in this series.After his accident, Danny has to come to terms with a lot. Dealing with teachers ignoring a 504 plan is easy compared to realizing he's become the monster his parents told him about in bedtime stories.
It's just- he doesn't feel like a monster. And most of the ghosts he's met aren't really monstrous.

Almost half of all life on earth is parasitic, so it’s not the most surprising thing for ghost-studying scientists to discover that the ghost zone has its own parasites. Ghostly parasites, that like human world ones, partake in host manipulation that results in the host dying to perpetuate its own life cycle. Some parasites get this done by controlling the host’s body, while some prefer different, more subtle methods. Like tricking the host into believing that the only woman in the world that could make him happy is the ghost hunter who left him to die in the hospital without a second thought.
Now that Vlad is free from his, what will he do with that freedom?
And how will Danny take it when his nemesis just decides to quit out of the blue?

“For a long time I waited to see you,” Vlad says. “I was sure you’d visit.” He looks up again. Jack and Maddie both gaze at him openly, rapt. It’s too much to bear, and his eyes skate away.
“But you didn’t come.”
The white of the hospital subsumes him. He is there again—he is limp and weak in his patient’s gown, with a nurse bent over him, her face terrified, and he is lifting his arm to find it glowing.
“And eventually, I realized you never would.” He smiles bitterly to himself. “I tried to leave you both behind, but I kept circling back to you. Over and over again, you two occupied my thoughts. For twenty years you have been the last I think of at night and the first in the morning.”
Twenty years after his half-death at the Fentons' hands, Vlad hosts a college reunion with the vague hope of exorcising all the rage and misery Jack and Maddie left him with. Except, to his surprise, he finds that in their time away from him they have made the same mistake again—they, too, are half-ghosts, and Vlad must reckon with that discovery.

Summary
After twenty years of restraining himself from fully embracing the ghostly nature of his other half, Vlad, encouraged by his friend, finally caves in and arranges a meeting disguised as a college reunion with his former best friends who he has strong conflicting feelings for. Deciding that this meeting will be what determines once and for all whether he gets his revenge on them or tries to reconcile with them.
At first Danny was irritated to be dragged to Wisconsin for a stupid College reunion that he didn't care much about while he has better things to do, but irritated boredom quickly melts away when he learns that he has a secret in common with the host of the reunion. ...And discovers that the lives of ghosts are much more complicated than he originally assumed.

So when his newly emerged clone starts happy purring at him, Vlad promptly freaks the fuck out trying to figure out what's wrong with them— inadvertently teaching the clone that more purring means more attention from daddy. By around Ch 20, some strong themes come across; this mixes Marvel (MCU & X-Men), Danny Phantom, & the Addams Family. Vlad is outed as inhuman by chapter 30, and that has serious consequences for him and his family. They WILL get through it, and WILL win the war- but not all the battles. Most of this is warm, gentle, and fluffy. Some of it isn't, so please pay attention to the tags.

Harriet Chin doesn't know why she showed up to the hospital in the first place. She didn't really know Vlad, or have a solid reason. But it's pretty shitty that his friends just abandoned him, and she might not be able to help that, but she can at least bring him leftovers.
She thought she was helping a stranger. She didn't expect to get an undead supernatural guardian out of it.

ABANDONED AND DISCONTINUED
Are the Fentons Haunted? Or are the halfas Hunted?Danny is shocked when he, his parents, and Jazz are taken to court by Vlad Masters in a custody battle. Ridiculous! Right?
Not as much as Danny would like to think. As the trial goes on, Danny discovers he and his sister aren't who or what they thought, that their parents are not as they seem, and Vlad, his enemy, may be their only shot at survival.
This story is told primarily through dialogue and epistolary storytelling as an experiment. Throughout the story, please expect body horror, illegal and nonconsensual experimentation on human beings, murder, and kidnapping. Mind the tags, please.
