Summary
Rounding the corner, Tommy winced, closing his eyes at the sudden light change. The sun, now a little ways in the sky, shone bright, not a cloud in sight, and a light breeze, perfect for sailing. The ocean sparkled in a dazzling myriad of colors, reflecting into Tommy’s eyes. The ocean was always one of Tommy’s favorite places. Often, he would wander out onto one of the cliffs surrounding the harbor Essempi resided in, just to stare at the expanse of blue water.
The port of Essempi was bordered by the ocean on the northeast, rolling hills to the southwest, and massive cliffs to the southeast and northwest, protecting it from the most intense storms. Tommy often dreamed of what it would be like to be out there, sailing on a massive ship, victim to whatever the violent sea threw at them.

Summary
Tommy, the hero known as Two-Faced had been working under Dream, or Fleetfoot, for a while now. Tubbo was adamant that Dream was mistreating him but Tommy knew better. Dream was just helping him become a better hero. Every new bruise was a lesson, every long training session a chance to better himself. Who cared if Dream hurt him more than villains? If his sparring sessions left him more tired than his patrols? How else was he supposed to learn?
After a series of mistakes, Tommy starts to see how right Tubbo was. Ironically, Tommy finds safetey with the villains. Whenever he's injured while shifted the villains find him and nurse him back to health. Slowly, Tommy learns to trust, to heal. Slowly, Tommy finds safety in unlikely allies.
And maybe, he even finds a family.

Tommy may seem harmless at first glance, but Phil and Techno know otherwise. To be a gemsmith, a person who connects soulmates, is not a profession for those who are docile.
But Tommy is intriguing at first glance. Always talking, always moving, always challenging them. So they stick around. Not too long though, they have two other soulmates to find, but long enough to develop their relationship beyond customer and shopkeeper.
If only they realized why they were developing this relationship in the first place before the Hunters came knocking on Tommy’s shop.

The morning air was crisp and refreshing as Tommy stepped outside. He started down the familiar street, each step taken with practiced care. He kept his shoulder touching the wall the whole time, it helped him not run into people. The rough texture only slightly bothers him. Tubbo suggested he use a walking stick; it would help him walk and feel the surroundings but also make other people aware of his lack of eyesight. He said no, he didn’t want people to treat him differently just because he was ‘disabled’. He was a big man, he wasn’t a pussy that needed help. It’s the same reason he wore glasses. Not the blind people glasses, normal everyday glasses that still hid his eyes.

Tommy has spent his whole life blind, it had never made a difference for him. Until he meets someone who makes him want to see.
