Summary
Anakin grows up in a modern day coven of witches, some of whom have varying degrees of gifts and magical powers. Throughout his childhood, High Priest Palpatine had secretly taken Anakin under his wing to teach him how to use his powers to the best of his ability. After his mother dies, Anakin learns of the High Priest’s true intentions and a struggle ensues, culminating in Palpatine placing a curse on Anakin.
On the farm that’s been in his family for generations, Obi-Wan lives a quiet life and occasionally helps out with his dad’s feline rescue group. He’s rehabilitated the most challenging of feral and injured cats, but none quite as frosty as the stray black cat with piercing blue eyes. But it only makes him that much more determined to win this cat over.
Slowly, they earn each other’s trust, but an unexpected confrontation with Palpatine threatens to disrupt the peaceful life that Anakin and Obi-Wan share together.

“More important is,” Master Yoda adds, his ears lifting ever slightly, “if hurt, you are, Skywalker’s behaviour, remain wise, will it, hmm?”
On the eve of a major battle, the Jedi Council orders Master Kenobi to cut the lingering training bond with his former padawan.

With nowhere to clean his fingers, Obi-Wan considered wiping them against his thigh, but Anakin stopped his hand on its descent and stared darkly up at him from where he kneeled. Obi-Wan watched Anakin's eyes dance along the slope of his neck, and Obi-Wan could tell just from his look that a small line of blood must have been creeping down the length of it. Anakin stared at blood like nothing else in the world.
