Summary
In the wake of the attack on the Sun Palace, Jahar feels lost, like a sheep gone astray, meandering, yet knowing that the wolves (or worse) lurk as it picks its way forward, trying to find its home and companions.
He is an Asha'man, trained at the Black Tower into a living weapon against the Shadow and all who would harm Rand al'Thor, the Lord Dragon. He grew up in Arafel, where men twine bells into their braids in defiance of the Shadow.
A lost sheep is the last thing he should feel like, he tells himself. Yet there it is.

Summary
I've linked this to my woobie 'verse, as the story begins there, but it is a non-woobie 'verse sequel to A Late Afternoon in the Neighborhood. The Colonel, Teyla, and Ronon return to their universe, with the Colonel still contemplating the alternate universe of himself, and the choices the other him had made.
