Izuku looked at the small circle Aizawa had motioned to in front of them.
"I won't fit," he whispered, thinking. He raised his hand, tentatively.
Sighing, Aizawa grumbled, "What?"
"I-I have a question. Actually, two."
His teacher just stared at him, unimpressed.
Izuku continued.
"Can we activate our quirks before we step into the ring?"
Aizawa looked up into the sky, muttering something Izuku didn't hear. "If you must."
"O-Okay. Uh, second question. You said we have to stay inside the circle, right?"
"Yes." The man looked disappointed, not only in Izuku but in himself for letting the kid speak.
"Great. Uh... does that include tails?"*Meant to be read independently, not as a series*

Summary
Izuku wanted a cool quirk, but when his fourth birthday came and went and he still didn't have a quirk, he started losing hope that he'd ever get a quirk. As he tries to protect a girl from Katsuki's bullying, he's proven wrong. On top of getting a quirk, he also gets something far greater. Or should I say... someone.
This idea was a product of writers block while writing The Yakuza Isn't That Bad. It takes some queues from other dragon Izuku fics.

Most people forget that it wasn't as easy to declare someone quirkless as it was two hundred years ago. After so long, Secondary quirks were common.
Midoriya Izuku inherited more from his father than curly hair. He had a draconic secondary quirk. But, unfortunately, most people ignored that fact and only saw his bright red shoes. Aizawa Shouta won't stand for it any longer.OR

“I…I’m…” he shook.
He forced himself to take a deep breathe, then looked up at him.
“I am your son.”
The dragon blinked.
“Why, yes, that’s what I’ve been telling you, Little Stream-…” he frowned. “Why are you suddenly agreeing with me? I’m not complaining mind you, but this seems a little…unexpected.”
Tears began to prick his eyes.
“I am your son, you were right,” he choked back a sob. “I- I remembered, I remembered all of it…”
“You…remembered?” Hisashi looked a mix between incredulous and…hopeful?
Izuku shook, bringing up both his hands to cover his face as he sobbed.
What was he supposed to do?

Izuku's been having flashbacks, dreams, memories? Whatever they are, they were getting more frequent, until he couldn't deny anymore that they were his. Memories of a past life, and a truth he'd been trying to resist was undeniable. He had been trying so hard to go home, but had he been there the whole time?What did he even want anymore?
