Summary
It almost feels like you're ignoring me on purpose... It’s been what, three weeks since we last spoke?
The voicemail rang loud in Ghost’s head. No, no that couldn’t be right. He didn't- He wasn't intentionally ignoring Johnny. He just needed his phone back, then he could fix everything.
Ghost couldn't believe that three weeks had passed since he’d been taken captive.
Look, I have two weeks left…and I'm tired of hearing the dial tone after you don't pick up. If you can't be bothered to answer my calls or even send a text then… then I think we might need to have a talk when I come back.
Simon’s heart caught in his throat. What did he mean by- Oh. This was it. Johnny wanted to cut things off.

Summary
“Oh my god!” Soap’s mother exclaimed. “John, get over here, look at what's on the news!” She was loud enough that Ghost could hear through the phone.
“Soap,” Ghost cut in, trying to divert his attention, “Soap, stop. Stay where you are, don’t look.”
He ignored him, glancing at the TV to see that a news station was showing footage of a plaza outside of an important facility. Right in the middle of the square, strapped down to an old statue, was enough explosives to level the surrounding 10 blocks, at the very least.
Worse, though, so much worse, was a tall, well built man in all black military gear, hood pulled up and gloves covering his hands. Standing directly in front of the explosives.

Home on leave, Soap has to instruct Ghost on how to disarm a bomb over the phone. The pair make a good team - but not every mission can end well.

Summary
John “Soap” MacTavish never liked the silence, but he knew it was necessary.
John would describe himself as a very likable person. Albeit loud, he made friends everywhere he went with his outgoing and easy personality. Overall, he was an easy person to get along with.
The only catch was he talked a shit ton.
--OR--
The popular plotline where the 141 tells Soap to shut up. Only this time, Soap has had enough.

Summary
The mission brief was simple, the words all familiar and put in an order that almost made Ghost bored. All goes well and he doesn't think twice about the sequence of events.
Except he wakes up to do it again. And again. And again. And he can't help but overthink his time with the man next to him.
