Summary
Lal's used to hiding — her feelings, her jealousy, her heart. But when Wine's oblivious closeness with Proud pushes her over the edge, a flirty encounter with Medsai finally cracks Wine's ice-cold facade. Summoned to Wine's office for a "professional discussion," Lal gets the confrontation she's always wanted: raw, jealous, devastatingly honest.
The rules are clear til’ they’re not. They screw like they're trying to erase each other and leave marks like they're trying to be remembered. Both are too jealous to share, too proud to admit it, and too terrified to name what happens when the door unlocks and they still don't want to leave. They end up realizing that they're both broken in the same place, holding onto each other with bloody hands and calling it casual.

"Shit."
"Yeah. Shit, Tyler," Josh shot back, kicking at a loose rock. "Why didn’t you just leave it alone? It was fine. Annoying, sure, but fine."
Tyler rolled his eyes. "No, it wasn’t fine. She was all over you, and you wouldn’t tell her off. I just did it for you."
"By saying we’re a couple," Josh deadpanned. His tone was so deeply unimpressed that Tyler actually winced. "Tyler. What the fuck?"
Yeah. Okay. Maybe that wasn’t entirely a solution.
