Summary
Kaeya Alberich is the owner of a small coffee shop, where he meets Diluc, a young man who can't speak. He falls in love immediately and it only takes a few weeks to become great friends, even though Kaeya wants more than that. One night, Diluc appears at his house, late at night, in the middle of a heavy rain and shivering with cold. He refuses to tell what happened and without being able to do much, Kaeya assures that he is welcome in his home as long as necessary, thus becoming roommates.
The intimacy between them grows, along with Kaeya's hopes and fear of ruining everything. Things don't get any better when secrets and problems from both of their past arise to torment them once again. Now, more than ever, they have to trust each other and be the safe haven that the other needs to resolve all of this without their relationship collapsing completely.

“You’re always like this, aren’t you?” Kaeya remarked evasively as he dropped a neat stack of mora onto the counter, leaving Diluc to scowl alone as the tavern door was swung shut.

Kaeya glanced down at the open book, his gaze sharpening when he took in the contents. It was a portrait of two people, one sitting in a chair, while the other stood behind their right shoulder. The man sitting was older, with red hair, facial hair, and kind eyes. Behind him was undoubtedly the dour young man from last night, smiling happily. Kaeya’s gaze drifted to the caption under the portrait.
‘The last known portrait of Duke Crepus Ragnvindr and his only son Diluc Ragnvindr. Circa 1849.’
“So the man from last night-”
“Was a ghost!” Amber said excitedly.

Diluc looked at it in confusion, yelping when Kaeya took the arm around his waist and all but yanked Diluc to the ground, the prince splayed out across the jacket. Diluc can't sleep because of the nightmares, they are too scary even if he doesn't want to admit it.
But maybe being together it's the solution for Kaeya to finally dream, and Diluc to stop having nightmares.

Maybe it was his fault for not calculating Kaeya would be more stunning than usual (maybe because he didn't think it was possible), but when he sees him, he couldn't think on another thing but how badly he wants to kiss him.
