Summary
Being an immortal vampire can have its perks, of course, all those perks become obsolete when you notice the love of your life start to age.
He noticed the first gray hair before Wally. Shimmering in the morning light like it had every right to be there.
“You’re staring,” Wally said in a sing-song voice.
Dick blinked once, before he smoothed his expression back into something even, “I do that.”
“Yeah, but usually with a little more subtlety. This is more like…a tragic vampire stare.”
“You’re getting pancake batter on my shirt,” Dick offered.
“Well,” Wally said defensively, “I am the one making breakfast.”
Dick tilted his head, “you make breakfast every morning.”
“Exactly. Which means it can’t be helped. A casualty of living.”

Summary
Wally has spent a long time coming to terms with the fact that he and Dick would only ever be best friends. It's been hard to grow up and accept many friendships have grown more strained and tense, but he knew he'd always have Dick. It was the one friendship he never had any reason to doubt. It was enough, more than enough. It was fine.
Dick has been going through a lot. He's been trying to make sense of Jason's strange new family with Roy and Lian Harper, but his brother just kept pushing him away. He's been so isolated recently, but his best friend Wally has never been good at leaving him alone. His steady friendship with Wally was more than Dick had ever deserved.

Summary
The first revelation came on a Tuesday afternoon.
Wally West was pacing around the bedroom of his boyfriend’s Blüdhaven apartment, face scrunched in thought. None of his research had prepared him for the sight in front of him—or rather, what wasn’t in front of him.
Because, evidently, Dick Grayson didn’t nest.

I'm not super huge on omega verse but this is genuinely such a beautiful fic🥹 i love how it explores all these biological instincts/features and the way they're masked, and how it reflects reality.
I mean, obviously it reflects reality in the A/B/O format, but as in trauma responses and how typical human functions adapt and fall out of hand via trauma or disorders.
For example: autistic folk forcing themselves to be more expressive or conform to society's standards of a normal person. In relation to the fic, it would be omegas (or Dick) hiding themselves to be less weak to conform to this idea of a capable alpha
TLDR: I'm super bad at writing reviews and coming up with examples but i liked this fic a lot 👅👅

Summary
“You think I’m gonna go into school tomorrow and tell everybody Red Robin passed out in my lap and my foster dad is an assassin?”
Tim opened one eye. “You could leave that first part out.”
Duke glared at him. “Nobody asked you.”
Tim gave him a thumbs up and closed his eye again.
“I’m not an assassin,” Jason reminded him, sounding tired.
OR:
With Batman gone, Gotham is falling apart. But Jason has bigger problems. Like this kid who just got dumped on his doorstep due to a case of mistaken identity. What was his name again? Oh yeah. Duke Thomas.
(Shut up Tim! Jason did not have Bruce's adoption disease!)

oh my god i love this this is fire i adore this this is peak peak PEAKOEKWKAKEOSKEJSHEBS PEAK!!!!! (1st review posted june 28)
hi ok actual review that isn't just 'PEAK!', I truly love all the characterization in this and ESPECIALLY how Duke isn't portrayed as just some regular guy, and how Duke actually gets a spot light here, when in most fics he gets a cameo or quick mention at the maximum (🥹),
I've always liked how Jason and Duke interact with eachother in the comics (although they have minimal interactions in canon but to be fair there's just minimal duke content. they always have fun banter though!) but I think this fic just amplifies their dynamic for me, especially with the comic retelling (the 'We are Robin movement' for example).
Another thing I really admire is how great this fic is at honestly just, introducing these characters. It's something that anyone can pick up and immediately just figure out who these characters are, regardless of if you're in the fandom or not. With fanfic, there's obviously a given that you understand the media or you're familiar with these characters, and I have no clue where I'm going with this but just take it as positive.
Honestly? I think I could keep going about how much I like this fic but I'm REALLY bad with words and when i keep yapping/writing i start sounding like I chugged 6 whole bottles of vodka.
in summary: peak (new review posted july 29)
