Summary
When Nursey made a passing comment about Dex at the Pens Development Camp, he never expected this to happen.
AU Sequel to Some Things Can't Be Fixed. Freaky Friday AU. Takes place the summer between the Frogs' sophomore and junior years (after year 3 in canon).
In between posting this first chapter, and finishing the rest of the fic, this fic also became extra AU because Penguins won the Stanley Cup in 2016 instead of the Falconers. The Falconers were now eliminated from the Playoffs in game 7 of the Conference Final. Jack and Bitty never came out.

It started with a trip to the mall when Dex’s sister sent out her baby shower announcement.
“How many onesies does a baby need?” Derek asked, looking at the registry on his phone as they walked through the store. “Also why is it all pink?”
“Dere, not everyone decided that gender roles were last century,” the redhead chirped, and walked them through the store to the baby area.

Summary
The day is long, and Dex does so much coding his eyes are going blurry – his program keeps stalling and he isn’t sure where in the code he went wrong, so he’s been reading line after line trying to figure out where his mistake is. It’s frustrating as hell, and after several hours at Founders he decides to call it quits. Going back to the Haus for dinner, relaxing for an hour and then getting in a little more work before bed sounds like the best course of action here. Maybe he’ll find the bug with a fresh pair of eyes.
He shoots Nursey a text to let him know, and starts to wind up what he’s doing – and he’s just saving his program when the little niggling worry comes back, because Nursey had no classes today, was just planning on spending time working on his paper, and he actually hasn’t responded to any of Dex’s texts today.

“Come on, bro, you haven’t hooked up in weeks,” Ransom protests, and Nursey shoves at his head playfully. “I’m chill, if I find someone I like I’ll go for it, but I’m good where I am.”
“All right, man,” Holster says, slapping his shoulder before stepping back. “C’mon Rans, let’s go make sure Bitty hasn’t lost his shoes or some shit.”
Nursey appreciates their efforts, he does, but they’re wrong – he hasn’t hooked up in over a year.
