Summary
Excerpt:
The entire crew was either extremely scared of the former Kraken (Lucius, Frenchie, and Fang) or murderous and on the verge of slicing his throat whenever they were alone with him (Jim, Archie, Pete, Ivan). The rest of the crew (Oluwande, Wee John, Roach) was more impartial, but didn’t hide their disdain for Edward in any way.
"Edward and I are hoping that by spending time one-on-one, the crew get to have a personal apology and see that Edward can be the man the two of us know he can be."Or: the three most powerful men on the Revenge all had their individual mission: Edward wants the crew to forgive him for what he had done to them; Bonnet keeps pestering Izzy to teach him how to be a fucking pirate, and Izzy is here, struggling to teach the crew how to survive. Because in a a bit over a week, they’re going to reach their next port. And Izzy wants to fucking leave.
(This fic takes off at during the events of s2ep5 and takes it from there. Up until this point, canon exists (except for Ivan’s death – he’s alive and kicking in this one!), but let’s see if the upcoming events are going to happen in this story.)

Summary

(Missing scene from s2e3: when did Izzy realize he wasn't being abandoned?)

Summary
Ed’s fallen asleep again - he usually does once the port’s run dry. Stede had heard so many stories about the dread pirate Blackbeard as to paint a grisly picture: head curled in smoke, a murderous shadow looming over the deck, a gun in each hand and a knife between his teeth. It was all nonsense, of course, though Stede knows Ed can cut a fearsome figure if he wants to. He wonders at the songs they’d sing of Blackbeard now, head tucked gently into his chest, hair falling over his face like curtains.
Five times Stede wakes Ed up, and one time Ed returns the favor.

Summary
“I know this must be weird for you. You probably didn’t have to apologize when you were captain.”
Ed snorted. “Apologizing? Nah, I didn't apologize for jack shit.” He started playing with the bell around his neck again. “Didn’t even know how to do that before you helped me with the speech.”
“Well, there’s always a first time for everything and I am glad I could help you!” Stede beamed. “It will still take some more time and effort until the crew trusts you again, though.”
Ed’s head whipped up in shock. “What, even more? Giving that speech was hard already, how am I supposed to come up with even more?” He groaned.
“They’ve all been through a lot. They need time. I don’t know just…” Stede vaguely gestured around with his hands. “...talk to them?” Ed scoffed and Stede patted his shoulder in encouragement. “Oh come on, you’ll be fine, I know it! You’re a natural at talking!”
Or, a rewrite of S2E5 with a bit more apologizing

Summary
Ed collapses in his arms, taking both of them to the floor. Stede has seen him cry before today - it always struck him as subdued, like there was a thin line that Ed approached but never crossed, a veil draped over. Now it’s lifted.
Stede comforts Ed after a devastating loss. (Spoilers for Season 2 of OFMD)

Summary
The air they step out into wasn’t fresh, exactly, being in an alleyway. It stinks of stale piss and blood and garbage the way most of the Republic of Pirates does, but the rain has washed some of that away, and there is a breeze coming in off the ocean, so Stede takes a deep breath anyway. As he sighs it back out, he stops short and gasps as Ricky sinks to his knees before him.

Summary
Izzy watches as Edward parts his lips just slightly. He waits for him to say something, to guide the gun upwards again, but when he doesn’t, he pushes it forward into Edward’s mouth.

Summary
Ed and Stede platonically share a bed and feel feelings, like pirates do.

Summary
Post The Art of Fuckery. Izzy challenged Stede and lost miserably. Now, he's been kicked off of the Revenge. For the first time in years, he finds himself adrift and alone, but that won't stop him from devising a plan to get his Captain back and out of the clutches of Stede fucking Bonnet.
But he can't execute his plan all alone. He knows Ed won't go with him. This time, he needs to enlist the help of an old friend, or enemy, depending on the day.
My headcanon of how the conversation with Izzy and Jack went when Izzy recruited him to get Ed away from Stede.
